Been a rough old week. Glad it’s over. Last night, for my 1st proper meal of the week, I ate greasy pizza & gave myself *mild* pancreatitis, that was obvs inflamed from high calcium. Absolutely excruciating pain for 10+hrs. Still painful.

I’ve created this video to raise awareness of what’s happening to the NHS and General Practice now. Have tried to make it an interesting 5 minutes linking back to its history, despite the sad message being conveyed. All very well that pharmacies can now prescribe more drugs, which in many ways is welcomed. But no one is talking about how we basically have a massive shortage of community pharmacists as well 👀👀👀

@smizz I am also worried, this uplift does not cover the upcoming changes to the minimum wage. This means the practice has to reduce spending elsewhere to cover it. This will have a direct impact on the services we can offer.

This is an absolute joke!!
Other parts of health get a 6% inflationary increase.
Primary care gets only 1.9% - not even close to inflation, & where the largest volume of NHS activity happens in the whole system!!!

Director of Public Health Dr Rupert Suckling has today presented the Public Health Annual Report to the Full Council meeting. Dr Suckling also received an official vote of thanks from the council after 9 years of dedicated service in his role, ahead of his retirement in January.
