I've always struggled with sticking to an exercise routine, so I decided to document my journey to keep myself accountable by writing a post. Here is a link to my post to help others facing similar challenges: suewaters.com/2024/07/17/hea…

@jeffr0 Here in Australia we would never ask for a plate of leftovers. However, if you were the host you might ask your guests if they would like to take home some left overs if there was too much food.

If you visit a friend’s house for dinner and they clearly have leftovers, do you: A. Ask for a plate of leftovers to take home. B. Assume you’ll get a plate of food to take so no asking necessary. C. Do nothing and go home with a full belly.

@jeffr0 My favorite way is take the leaves off the stems, steam the leaves, then add to mashed potatoes with lemon juice

@suewaters I use this same method myself for my children’s waste. I think this is why I’m sick so often

@remkusdevries I was involved with educational conferences and they always included the year in the hashtag as it makes it easier to identify conversations for that year

Somebody needs to explain to me the logic of going from decade old used hashtag like #WCEU or #WCUS to year variations like #WCEU25 and #WCUS25. Makes zero sense to me to fragment like that for no particular reason.

@DerekAshauer Mine is my sewing projects as haven't told many people in my life about them (sure they would think I've finally lost it with that) Rest well known as topics I often discuss with friends i.e I'm very boring

@KatieKeithBarn2 I'm now suffering from Baader–Meinhof phenomenon ever since your ABBA tweet Every time I go out there is at least one ABBA song playing! In the car, in the shops, in the markets suddenly ABBA starts playing Maybe Australia is obsessed by them?

@KatieKeithBarn2 I think that makes a big difference because living during that period gave a greater appreciation of how new and unique the different artists were However, I'm probably unique for my age as I'm mostly into new popular music

@suewaters I was born in '81 but didn't really get into music until the 90's. (Also mostly prefer heavier stuff.)

Do you think phones spy on you? Last night at dinner, Andy and I had our first ever conversation about ABBA, which neither of us are into. I said I like 1 specific song. Today YouTube Music recommended a dance version of that exact song to him 🤨

@s4rah_dev I am, but I live in Spain. Only one surgeon in all of Canada does these surgeries, in Winnipeg, but this is a tricky one. So I'll either pay for Dr. Patel in North Carolina or Dr. Teo in Australia!

Concerned about my husband's sanity. Limited time and had run out of meals I organised a salad and a tin of mackerel for his lunch. He was excited as he loves mackerel. Definitely not my idea of an exciting lunch!

I genuinely appreciate it when people point out minor errors or typos on our website, and I always fix these straight away. It's less helpful when people point out typos in an email that was sent to thousands of people, as it's far too late to do anything about it 😬
