@JeffVeillette Yes, but I would also argue that that question the way it was asked does not really deserve a response. I don’t really know what the best option was for pelley there. Battle Simmonds or just give that short response

People are going back and forth on whether it was right for this question to be asked. The most notable thing to me, though is that this would've been very easy for Pelley to pivot into why he sees Chayka differently, and the answer, like many today, didn't meet the mark

The most annoying part is that you know that every person who asked for this Leafs team is going to see this and say that the problem is that this group doesn't care/want it enough, and that the solution is to burn the last remaining assets to acquire clones of the same guys

One thing I never realized until I moved to the DC area is the absolutely insane amount of people who think they are entitled to a job in government - forever. It is part of the rot in DC and they need a reality check about how the actual world works.

This goes to a point I’ve been trying to make with my Democratic friends for a long time. MAGA’s ignorance about Trump’s sins and scandals is staggering. Every piece of media they consume idolizes the man and trashes his opponents. And then they’re told he’s God’s man to save America.
Even after all these years they often don’t know the most basic facts about Trump’s misconduct.

I am referring to a couple years ago before his NMC kicked in. Shanahan said no and Dubas was gone less than 2 months later.
You add insult to injury with Rantanen this year…it’s a calamity and it has to stop.

I think MLSE needs to have a serious conversation about Shanahan vetoing the Marner trade and the subsequent fallout. The buck stops with him and running it back over multiple seasons has proven to be the wrong choice.
