What's the modern day equivalent to geocities? Kids want to make a website and my brain keeps going to github pages. Want something where they start with a template, but i can explain HTML and CSS to them and let them experiment.

@jbeda Which RPC thing? And FWIW, the skyscanner flight search wasn't much different. Internal fan outs to fetch different things. Plus all the other stuff on the result page also makes their own calls.

@damienguard I think of it as a principal engineer role. But would say that they're not evenly allocated, sometimes you do more process, sometimes you do more stakeholder management.. etc..

@clarkbreyman Why not? Storage is relatively cheap, and an index is what you're describing.

What's the best way to support paging large lists while supporting locale-based alphabetical order? I'm not keen on having an index per locale.
