Happy to share our co-authored paper with my dear colleague and friend @KerimBozkurt from @KocSchool'97 titled "Hypersonic Realms: Strategic Deterrence in a Fragmented World,” published by @TrendsRA. ➡️ The study explores how recent advances in hypersonic technologies affect the ability to achieve air superiority in increasingly contested environments, the likelihood of escalatory actions, and the effectiveness of deterrence when using multiple forms of force. ➡️ It considers the evolving relationship of hypersonic systems with other rapidly advancing technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), space-based sensors, and unmanned platforms, all of which are converging to enable a quantum leap forward in multi-domain operations. ➡️ We examine several important hypersonic missiles such as China's DF-17, Russia's Zircon 3M22 / Kh-47M2 Kinzhal, U.S. HACM / ARRW, Iran’s Fattah 1-2, Pakistan’s P-282 SMASH and finally Türkiye’s Tayfun Block 4. At a time of intensifying strategic rivalry and fragmented global security, we argue that middle powers need a responsible, interoperable, and agile approach to hypersonic technologies—balancing innovation with restraint, and speed with strategy. #hypersonic #missile #defense #airpower Link 👉 trendsresearch.org/publication/hy…

Turkey and UK today will sign the "Strategic Partnership Framework Document” in London as Fidan meets his British counterpart Cooper

Preparations are well underway for the #NATOsummit in Ankara! We’re grateful to our Ally Türkiye 🇹🇷 for hosting leaders on 7-8 July 2026 for what will be an important meeting to further strengthen transatlantic security

The European Union sought to ease tensions with Turkey after European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen named the country alongside Russia and China, creating the impression that the NATO partner was seen as a potential threat. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
