Marc made a lunge, couldn't get the bike stopped properly, had to run wide, and took Pedro with him. It's a fair call, and it says a lot that even he knows it. He took his penalty and shook Pedro's hand, so please calm down.

@MotoGP From reading the replies I can tell that most have never even been to Phillip island. The track is good. 100%. The facilities for fans and riders are definitely not world class.

@DennisNoyes The Shahin family that owns the Bend have been in every press conference and announcement. Reality is that 2027 AusGP will be at the Bend, 100kms out of Adelaide which is a much smaller population base than Melbourne and Philip Island…

@SirGuyGuisborne The Bend is an hour away from Adelaide with a population less then a 1/3rd of Melbourne. The state government has been angling to take MotoGP for years

The MotoGP round at Philip Island’s only problem is being held at the wrong time It is a bit isolated too and I suspect that is a reason for the move (plus the never ending saga of money)
