Generally sick leaves doesn't require manager approval and it's paid for a quota.
I understand if they don't pay after the quota. But sick leave should just be a notice.

An employee wakes up sick and does what they’re supposed to do, inform HR and apply for leave.
The mail gets forwarded to the manager, and the reply comes back, “mark this as leave without pay, don’t approve same day leaves.”
No concern, no empathy, just policy.
Why is basic empathy still so rare in Indian workplaces?

Manager to the TL: Make sure everyone attends the status call and provide updates.
And in case one doesn't have sufficient updates for a day, ask them to apply leave for that.

The US aim is to take control of Kharg Island. Intact, with all its stored oil and Iran's ability to ship oil from mainland. Even American boots may be on the ground to do it. Many don't seem to see a clear strategy of the US here and imagine the US is clueless or something.

Seems it is not just Israel, the entire Islamic middle east is going for war with Iran. Seems they have had enough of the threats and terrorism. And Saudi is leading the pack.
