Sumiso de la Triste Figura
@sumtristfig
Fui sumiso toda la vida con toda mí alma. No puedo con la liquidez, lo efímero y lo banal. Ya no lo soy. Camello, león, niño.

@ErisMartinet If you had some idea of commons, where your survival depend on your relationships and your group, that behavior would be the cost.
Rather we have freedom and we can lose any group of people. What we cannot lose is our ability to produce/consume in the market.
English

@ErisMartinet The great problem of narcissistic behavior is that in the world of liberalism, not being narcissistic, a extraordinary consumer, a prolific merchant is a unacceptable cost.
Those behaviors are incentivized because everything is in the market.
English

You could say entitlement, flattening, commodification. I am sure you've seen this behaviour around the digital meadows of FemDom.

@ErisMartinet Agreeing that it's not satisfactory, Madam Eris. Whether it triggers subs to be narcissistic is a matter on which i have no data.
English

@ErisMartinet There is no solution for that dissolution of the commons inside the modern society. Maybe a collapse and a reconstruction. All efforts to maximize freedom and the commons are done at the cost of increasing human suffering.
English

@ErisMartinet I agree with you. But the real problem lays beyond us.
I think the modern project (Bacon, Instauratio Magna) and the liberalism that is the child of that project, achieved the idea of freedom / liberty that generates a dissolution of the commons.
English

@ErisMartinet That's why I refer to that as something counter-cultural.
How can you blame somebody for not doing something that is not in the current common and accepted culture? You can't. The ideal we are discussing is simply not in the culture these days, it's dangerous to hold such views
English

@ErisMartinet I would rather say that they are somewhat blameless. How could be they be guilty of "something" when that is the way society works? We are all trying to survive the best way we can.
English

@MyDarlingCleme No sé si están traducidas al español. Yo las tengo en portugués. No he acabado de leerlas todas. Pero la verdad es que a veces, solo necesito un poco de Clarice para no sentirme tan solo, tan poco entendido, tan extraño.
Español

@sumtristfig No, definitivamente en mi lista
Español

Spent hours naked in bed this hot Sunday reading My new book. Tell Me why I was just telling My poet friend in SF about how I resonated with the metaphysical introspective literature of Clarice and how I wished to read her again, to then walk into this library with her to see this book in Spanish literally in the front. Talk about I get what I want 😍✨

English

@ErisMartinet I might be a extreme case, but really it's uncommon for me to have a deep relationship, except friendships, that is not based on what I can provide. That is expected from men in my society. Fewer of them do that, and the equilibrium of transactionality becomes the same offline.
English

@sumtristfig yes true but at least offline things aren't so flattened and transactional.
English

@ErisMartinet Just a mercantile relationship. It's not about finding your soulmate, or a friend, or someone very beloved to care for, love, understand.
Some marriages work in the physical world the same way.
English

@ErisMartinet But it's not something exclusive to online relationships. Online relationships just have different challenges, and the setup of most of them are limited to consumption. E.g. Guy consumes content, girl gets money. Transactional and simplistic, nothing transcendent there.
English

@ErisMartinet Maybe the idea of caring, understanding, feeling and being genuine these days it's so counter-cultural and revolutionary that even considering is something very dangerous.
English

@ErisMartinet There is certain alienation and commodification of relationships, not only in the digital world. Relationships for consumption.
But in the digital world, the emptiness and liquidness is not just something highly probable, it's probably almost something certain.
