I'm literally laughing at the Europeans right now. They're out here lecturing me, an American, about what NATO is, how it works, and what America's "obligations" are yet not a single one of them seems to actually understand what the alliance was built for or how it truly functions. Sorry, not sorry. America isn’t Europe’s permanent bodyguard, ATM, or subordinate. If they want to lecture us on NATO, maybe they should first meet their own 2% GDP defense spending commitments, build real militaries instead of symbolic ones, and stop pretending the alliance is some equal partnership when the numbers (and history) show it’s overwhelmingly an American-led shield for Europe.
