In Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, the North Star (Polaris) is mentioned as an essential nautical reference point used by pirates to orient themselves and locate Captain Flint's loot. Bearableguy123 named the ship/rocket "PERSEVERANCIA" in Spanish because the name of the ship in Treasure Island (Hispaniola) was also Spanish. In the book, the ship is called Hispaniola (a name of Spanish origin). In the lunar image: the purple rocket is called PERSEVERANCIA. It's a deliberate nod to connect both "ships" carrying the treasure. The North Star (Polaris) literally serves to "lead them to the treasure" (exact quote from the book: celestial guide to the loot). The book's main antagonist is Long John Silver. Bearableguy123 has always used the number 589 in his riddles, directly linked to COMEX Rule 589 for silver. The connection is intentional and perfect: "Silver" is the English word for silver, and COMEX Rule 589 is the precious metals market mechanism (especially silver) that, according to the community's interpretation, would trigger a major financial reset. This links the pirate "Silver" with silver and the number 589, which Bearableguy123 repeats so often. The map came first: Stevenson painstakingly drew the map before writing a single word. Polaris as a guide: In the original map and in navigation of the time, Polaris (the North Star) was the celestial anchor. The Treasure Island hotel in Las Vegas opened on October 26th, 10/26=126. If you add the numbers of the book's publication date: 14+11+18+83=126. The Adventure Cycle: The story begins in the cold of January (darkness/fear), but only "blooms" and gets underway with the spring of March. Maybe there was one time when you could semi-plausibly argue that Ripple had some easy way to shoot up the price of XRP massively for good but was just waiting for the right time to maximize something or other. But boy, it's hard to argue that today. For one thing, circumstances have changed so much that it's hard to imagine we've held onto this magic switch for so long and it's still just waiting to go. We've explained what we're doing, why we're doing it, and what we hope to achieve. While we aren't transparent about everything, we're not hiding some grand conspiracy. At least not as far as I know.

It is the first part of a two-episode arc (the second being "Terra Prime," which aired on May 13, 2005). It's not that the Enterprise crew builds the base from scratch (it already exists in the series' universe), but it is the episode where Star Trek centrally showcases and uses a base on the moon. In the original and older Star Trek: The closest moment is the episode "Conspiracy" (season 1, episode 25, aired on May 9, 1988) (the day XRP is 5089 days old): the Enterprise-D flies very close to the Moon (it is seen on screen), but it is only a background flyby, with no landing or plot on the surface.
