No amount of argument about @SenatorPayman and how she got into the senate will help @AlboMP …the fact is her stand on Gaza is backed by the ALP platform and widely shared in the party and beyond in the Australian community. Israel’s onslaught is an obscenity.

There's something so dishonest about these stories. An extremist Zionist lobby in Australia organises a Zoom call with an extremist Israeli (ex) politician. He expresses genocidal thoughts and plans. This news story details apparent shock and outrage, including by the "mainstream" pro-Israel lobby, that such a speaker and event would take place. Please, spare us the faux outrage. The mainstream Zionist lobby, through events and public statements for years, have shown complete contempt for Palestinians and blindly backed Netanyahu's massacres in #Gaza since 7 October. No words of criticisms. At all. If anything, they've opposed any ceasefire and encouraged even more bloodshed. Only the @jewishcouncilAU can claim credibility by equally condemning both this extremist speaker and the mainstream pro-Israel lobby's hatred for any form of Palestinian self-determination and humanity. For the average citizen, who are largely shocked by Israel's utter disregard for Palestinian lives, they see Jewish groups competing with each other to demean Palestinians and back even more war crimes in Gaza. 7/ Israel has also dismantled Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, including its health and educational systems. As a result, more people die from treatable conditions, all universities have been damaged/destroyed & ~625,000 children have no access to education.

6/ Israel has been causing the death of the civilian population of Gaza. Israel has created famine in Gaza and used it as a weapon of war, resulting in the deaths of dozens of civilians from starvation. Israel created and maintained shortages of water, medicine and electricity.

5/ There is ample evidence for Israel’s indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks throughout the war, as well as many examples for massacres and other killings. A long list of international institutions have harshly criticized Israel’s conduct of the war.

4/ Over the past 8 months, Israel has repeatedly massacred Palestinians in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of >37,000 Palestinians, injuries of >85,000 and an additional >10,000 still missing. Most dead (~56%) are women and children.

As a journalist I find it upsetting and shameful to hear @abcnews senior journalists such as @PatsKarvelas using language ‘blockade’ to smear innocent people who are completely peaceful. If they don’t care enough to visit once over 4 months, they should send a reporter to do so

It’s not a blockade outside @AlboMP office. It’s a 24 hour vigil. I have been there. I was there with @MehreenFaruqi one evening; I was also there for a Christian service. Albo has refused to even meet with them after 4 months. Albo staff closed the office. It is not blockaded!

There are videos coming out of Rafah today of beheaded babies. Actual beheaded babies that you can see for yourselves - not the beheaded babies that the Israeli authorities invented to justify their genocidal assault, or the ones that Biden falsely claimed to have seen pix of.
