Prototype gear should be active in the Raids and PvP. Being able to use it only for escalation is a huge miss. What’s the point in upgrading and Why create new end game gear but can’t use it in the end game activities? @Orkanos @yannickbch @TheDivisionGame

@ANexus691 @widdz Division 2 in it’s entirety was made for a newer playerbase. If games had a dummies version, div 2 would be it. The game literally comes with instructions on how to play, unlike it’s predecessor. It’s about time they give back to the OG’s.

@iDentity_US Prototype is not intended for new players. It's intended for OG players who have already achieved and benefited from every aspect of the game.

So who is Prototype Gear really for when you step back and look at how it functions right now? New players can’t realistically access it yet, returning players (me) would have to re-enter a loop that asks more from them than it gives back, so the sweats are the only ones who can fully engage with it at scale. With Survivors, Central Park, and Division 3 all being worked on at the same time, I get that this is meant to hold things over, but does it actually invite players in or just cater to the ones already locked in? So what’s the solution? what do you think could be adjusted here to make this system feel more inviting without losing its depth? Because the concept of Prototype Gear is actually pretty cool #thedivision2

@sunshifty @elus1vepanda @IGN That’s a fair take for hardcore DZ players, but overall PvP improved massively over time. At launch it was a mess, and by 1.8 it was in a solid state for most players — and still the best PvP balancing the franchise has had, especially compared to The Division 2.

@elus1vepanda @IGN Hard disagree. PvP in The Division 1 was the best in the franchise — the Dark Zone kept players engaged for years. Heartland wasn’t canceled for being unpolished, Ubisoft said it no longer fit their direction, even though it was basically finished.

@elus1vepanda @IGN A lot of longtime D1 PvP players feel exactly the same way you’re describing. Update 1.7 is often remembered as the last “classic” era of Division PvP—before things got heavily systematized. Then 1.8 (Rogue 2.0) changed the whole PvP ecosystem: KILLING The Game.

@IGN Red storm did a very lousy job. They ruined pvp in D1, they created pvp nobody wanted to touch in D2. Heartland was too unpolished to release after years of development. It’s good Ubi is cutting them out and hopefully replacing with those who can get the job done
