High empathy sucks cause when you understand why people are the way they are you realize most people aren't truly evil they're just dumb and incapable of viewing the world outside of their own experiences which makes it hard to truly hate them even if they are ugly inside.

His name is Amin Abdullah. He is the security guard who gave his life to protect the children and stop the terror attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego. This man died a hero, but should still be alive and would be if it weren’t for the rising hatred against Muslims. RIP.

@sunsmono @quinnsreads Books 4 and 5 of Stormlight are pretty rough. Loved Book 1-2, 3 was okay but Sanderson lost the sauce with 4 and 5. Mistborn is still his best series.
Robin Hobb clears though and has beautiful prose.
