After 10 intense rounds, the champion of the tournament had to be decided in a playoff, that also decided 3rd place among 6 players tied with half a point less than the 2 leaders. Amazing setup as usual thanks to #SunwaySitges team!

Played my first open tournament in 2 years at @SunwayChessOpen & gained +22 Elo. I haven’t had much time to train while traveling, but constant exposure to top-level games & a relaxed approach (even working during the event) clearly helped. Happy to have been back at the board 😊
