I am 100% Chelsea, but some things extend beyond banter and rivalry. Today marks 37 years since 97 Liverpool fans went to Hillsborough and were UNLAWFULLY KILLED as recorded at 2016 inquest. To this day, nobody has served jail time. We played Leicester that day, and the police and fans ripped down part of the fencing on pen where our fans were due to crushing. The difference was that the police were inside the fence getting crushed alongside fans. At Hillsborough, they were pitchside, hitting fans with batons trying to save themselves. Any Chelsea who went to Hillsborough will know that it was disaster waiting to happen & could have in 1985 at the 4-4 League cup replay. The cover ups, the lies, and those in power who protected themselves are guilty of the biggest miscarriage of justice in British history. I am thankful that neither I, my friends, or Chelsea fans were ever caught up in such a tragedy. So today, I remember those who lost their lives and families that fought so hard for justice, some dying themselves without seeing justice. Also, the fans who lost someone or had to witness the events of that day. RIP The 97. May you never walk alone.

@GuillemBalague @robbopalmer Remember when Van Persie got sent off against Barcelona? It's only an issue when it happens to Spanish clubs

@Snail722717 Would it be out of the question for Lampard to be tempted by Bournemouth though? Depends on how ambitious Coventry are i guess

@richardajkeys So many people misunderstanding this tweet. He’s not laughing because he thinks Lampard isn’t a good manager he’s laughing because he doesn’t think he’d leave Cov for Bournemouth. He is a Coventry fan!

I’ve just read Frank Lampard is on a 3-man short-list for the Bournemouth job. I’ve checked the date & it’s not April 1. So what could it be then? Seriously? I can’t stop laughing. 😂😂😂.

@Cms186 @henrywinter Not when you look how bad the side is around him and how the opposition set up, any striker would struggle and be frustrated in this team

Viktor Gyokeres still gets questioned, even though he’s now got 12 PL goals in 30 games this season (18 all comps) while adapting to a new team, and Arsenal players adapting to him. And against a good Bournemouth defence today. Still gets questioned even though his character not in question: never hides, never stops showing for the ball, also looking to run in behind. Takes responsibility, and those penalties of his are hard, fast, well-placed and rarely stoppable (4/43). Gyokeres has occasional quiet games, but never lacks effort. Arsenal need to look to get him in behind more. #ARSBOU

In 2005, James Anderson (@lancscricket) dismissed David Sales of Northants. In 2026, James Anderson dismissed James Sales of Northants, David Sales's son, who was only 2 years old when Jimmy dismissed his dad. Talk about longevity #CountyChampionship #Cricket 🌹

England are not in the class of France, Argentina or Spain. But they do have some exceptional talent. Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane are world class. So is John Stones - at his best. Trent Alexander-Arnold is world class - in possession. Declan Rice is having the season of his life. There are more reasons to be positive going into this tournament than negative. But England have to be bold and play to their strengths.  Imagine if England were bold and, if all fit, went into the World Cup… Pickford; Alexander-Arnold, Stones, Guehi, O’Reilly; Anderson, Rice; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.  Stones would have some covering to do of Alexander-Arnold when he raced upfield. Bellingham gets heavily scrutinised but he’s a big-game player, a winner and used to pressure at Real Madrid. He has to start. England also have an exceptional head coach in Thomas Tuchel who can make the right changes at the right time. England have a chance of progressing to the quarter-finals of the World Cup and then anything’s possible. But only if they are bold. Not gung-ho. But bold. Risk/reward. #ENG
