When this is the level of response you get for trying to explain why Beltline rail is a good idea, it's hard to come away with any other conclusion than that the opposition is simply ignorant and spiteful. It really is quite sad.

Atlanta — how long are we gonna let the strong mayor system steamroll democratically made decisions? From Cop City to beltline rail, we deserve to live in a city where regular working people call the shots on political priorities — not big business & corporate interests.

Any city that is unserious about transit is an unserious city. You can't claim to be world class while either forcing most people to drive or providing lack luster transit service to riders who depend on the system.

Excellent video from Nathan on the importance of building rail along the Atlanta Beltline. ATL Mayor Dickens is flat wrong in his misguided vision... Transit works best where there is density and activity. The Eastside trail is exactly where you should build rail first.
