Latest HRRR 12z for next 18 hrs - not the actual forecast but for guidance only - showing a possible earlier arrival of precip - perhaps some early rain then sleet/graupel. A good bit of sleet is showing up front late afternoon/evening with change-over to snow and some residual sleet mixes tonight. Storm totals could inch up a little as well. In short, it was a good call for schools to release early today. I would just plan on not driving anywhere today after 3 or 4 PM if you can help it. #chswx

Good grief that HRRR tonight....heavy sleet injections mixed with snow. If all snow, should be pretty heavy for as good period. Watching more and more as the day goes on for consistency. #chswx

Yes, in reality. Our folks at the coast are competing with us. Our win would be their loss & vise versa. If we yank more moisture inland, then we also pull the warm nose with it & deal with more ice for coastal areas. So our coastal people would likely want this to hold about where it’s at to get all snow. So this is basically civil war folks.
