@pocketarchivist "i wouldn't want you to do any of this without me. and i wouldn't want to do it without 𝘺𝘰𝘶," he says with ease, and moving his arms, he envelopes the other within them. sure and careful, cradled preciously there. "never, ever. just the 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 of that sounds wrong."

@pocketarchivist promises that he said he'd keep broken, old habits dying hard and him letting them fester. but it was easier to make promises now that he had no crutch for his addictions. just him, rewind, and some tasty assorted gummies. maybe some counseling, too.

busy fussing over @pocketarchivist. clean rags in his hands, fresh oil and paint at his side. he's working diligently to help with his conjunx's finish, having dedicated their whole afternoon to it. it was both important to him, and to rewind. thus... it was a priority.

@pocketarchivist it had been so cruelly taken from him. but not for long. "i'm taking care of it. i'm taking care of 𝘺𝘰𝘶," he adds, hoping his words could bring some sort of solace. "i told you i've got you. always."

@pocketarchivist he believes the both of them. it was what he had to go with. only hope, for his conjunx's sake, as well as his own. he knows what this camera means to him, knows the importance and significance of it, even outside of it being his gift to him. it was an extension of his freedom.

[ closed, with @pocketarchivist. ] it’d been days. too many days, sat at the slab just at rewind’s side, hand over hand and head to hard table top. he’d opted to offline his optics, and while this was initially as a means to conserve… it came as a means to persevere.

@pocketarchivist you can't be looking, though, ( he's already moving away from the other with that, a bit of a happy stride to his step. ) it's a surprise.

@pocketarchivist of course i did, ( his visor raises to one side as they get to the large slab at the center of the room, gently depositing his conjunx down onto its surface. then, with servos on his hips, his helm tilts. ) it's a special day. who would i be if i didn't?

gotta say, it’s tedious work, ( he murmurs, the ship sealed once more, both him and rewind having just finished their all-day chore. but it was finally done— and now, they had the rest of their evening together. ) but it’s better with help. ready to head home, @pocketarchivist?

@pocketarchivist @ILikeRewind7 @rewindthatforme @genitussling ( seeing the reactions of both the other versions of them gain a smaller, warmed trill from the multicolored feline. he knows how it feels, because if the positions were reversed, he too would be absolutely over the moon to see rewind coming. that being said... )

@ILikeRewind7 @superdomeys @rewindthatforme @genitussling ( A giddy warmth washes his sorrow away thanks to the enthusiasm in his Domeycat's affectionate rubs, soft and eager, and he's sure that if he could, he'd be purring too. One side of his visor lifts as he watches the two cats interact, fascinated. ) Domey! Are you teasing him?

@pocketarchivist @ILikeRewind7 @rewindthatforme @genitussling ( he notes that the other rewind is arriving soon, and thinks it no surprise that his chromedome is immediately ready to see him. such is the way. he makes a sound, and to rewind, it’s a gentle trill. but to the other version of him, it was a laugh. they’re so predictable. )

@pocketarchivist @ILikeRewind7 @rewindthatforme @genitussling ( the absolute creature of a domeycat appreciates the consideration rewind has to not shock him when he’s like this — but he loves the affection from that nuzzle. he does it right back, whole face rubbing against it, and under his chin. )

@ILikeRewind7 @rewindthatforme @pocketarchivist "i'll just be. right over there," he jerks a thumb in the same direction he starts to head in, dragging himself to the slab on the opposite side of the room. "love you." he could feel the weight of the time since his last recharge in each step- feeling relief, when he lays down.

@ILikeRewind7 @rewindthatforme @pocketarchivist the encouragement in different variations between the other three manages to get him moving. he grumbles under a vent, but thanks to the little flicker of affection, he's settling rewind back onto the slab, prying himself away from his side-- ever so regrettably.

Shortly after the messages are sent agreeing for one pair to visit the other in the medibay, Chromedome walks in with Rewind in his arm. He sets him down and takes his servo as they go to the mediberth holding his doppelgänger. [ @rewindthatforme @pocketarchivist @superdomeys ]
