@KillianMWright We aren’t there yet. However, we’d be INSANE to extend him. His tenure at Mizzou hangs on next year in my opinion, and unless he gets players like Crowe every year, I haven’t seen the X’s and O’s needed from a coaching standpoint to compete in this era of the SEC 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mizzou played pretty rough defense all season. Especially man to man. I’m never sure what their identity is offensively? This game is pretty good example of how we played all year. Up and down. Some good stuff, a lot that won’t win you big games.

I feel the Chief is right. He's also being very humble. Not many teams had an answer for HIM, either. Even at 7' 1", he could run with the fast break (he could even dribble), was tenacious on D, had a killer fallaway shot, and was a great passer. Add to that his strong, quiet leadership; he was as crucial to that team as any of them. Consider this: The '86 Celtics had a future Hall of Fame player coming off the bench in Walton. Four of the five starters went on to the HoF. That team was STACKED. They'd pass around modern teams like they weren't even on the floor.

@STLSprtsCntrl He was a singles hitter when he came up in a big mans body. They tried to make him a power hitter, get more lift on the ball. He couldn't make adjustments. Had every hitting guru tell him to do this or that. He's likely ruined when could have just let him be the hitter he was.

If Missouri hadn't shown the fight it did in the second half, I would say the Tigers don't deserve anything better than Dayton. Ultimately, they took Kentucky to the wire at a neutral (road) site. If Dayton is their fate, is what it is, but today shouldn't go against them.

@HoopsMizzou They didn't defend well off the dribble, and their offensive sets outside of Mitchell were predictable and not effective. Crews, Pierce, Stone and Phillips were non factors. One guy can't do it in this conference.

Ther's a pretty decent chance Mizzou played their way out of the tournament these last four games. Down the stretch you are supposed to improve, because the rotations are so big most of the season there is less growth. Crews fizzled, Pierce and Stone were less effective.
