No it isn’t the same for everyone. But is it the symptoms that are different or how people handle it that is different? (I personally think both can be a factor) Also is it fair to ask someone who struggles everyday with anxiety but has a strong work ethic to pay for someone who just says they have anxiety when it’s more likely nerves or a self confidence issue? I don’t know the right or wrong answer here and I’m not sure there is one. What I do believe is depression is made worse when you don’t have a purpose, and all these are linked to the problems we are having as a country when it comes to employment, benefits and how the country is being run by the government.

The hourly rate you make when on benefits as a single person with a dash of anxiety is £11.12 The minimum hourly rate in the U.K. is £12.21. Many hospitality jobs, retail jobs and even care jobs pay this. Now why would I bust my balls for £12.21 which is ONLY £1.09 extra when I can be chilling on benefits on a similar amount of money with my anxiety of course? Benefits should be uncomfortable- it should make people feel like I can’t wait to get off of them. Instead it’s not a bad lifestyle for many who may not be ambitious.
