Saw Chips from a distance today & wondered if it was one of my Ravens & I could tell it was from his walk. They walk with an exaggerated swagger, like they know they are just fabulous 😃 I could learn something from the Ravens. We should all channel our inner Raven sometimes! 🤣

All 7 Ravens present and correct this morning!😄 Chips and Gravy are taking plenty of egg and suet to feed them with. Unusually Gravy ate the egg shell too. Don’t the fledglings look gawky! Their beaks look far too big for their bodies 😄 They are so beautiful.

Some very exciting news!!! Chips and Gravy have 5, yes 5 fledglings 😁. The last 2 years they have only had 3 so this is a bit of a shock!! I haven’t met them properly yet but hopefully like the last 2 years they will come down to meet me later this month 🥰

(Janet) Do you remember how I used to do 'Flop'nRolls'all the time? I don't know why, but yesterday I felt like doing them again. Maybe it's somethig to do with the path being nice and warm from the sunshine but whatever the reason, I really enjoyed it. It's funny how simple things make us happy, isn't it?

Lately lots of people have been asking me how you tell the difference between a Raven & a Crow. Sadly it is very blurred but think this photo, showing Chips the Raven being followed by a Crow, really shows the difference in size & shape of the two, especially the wingspan & size

Er sitzt 🙏🏼 Gestern wurde er liegend aufgefunden und bis heute Mittag hielt das trotz intensiver Betreuung noch an. Er ist noch wackelig aber das ist ein gutes Zeichen 🥹

Wild and windy on this morning's walk with lots of hirundines. Lovely to have some Swifts back, also House Martins, these Swallows looking iridescent in sunshine, Ravens, Reed, Sedge, Cetti's Warblers, Goldcrests, Yellowhammers, Nuthatch, Buzzards, Kestrels, Sparrowhawk etc

Gestern Abend wurde eine Krähe gefunden und leider liegen gelassen, weswegen die Kollegin noch losgefahren ist und hat gleich noch einen weiteren an der Stelle gefunden. Beide sind total dürr, einer hat Atemprobleme und ist allgemein echt schlecht dran. Bis Sonntag
