@IMissJamesWoods @HistorianUSA1 Right. I remember when this took affect. I was waiting tables at the time and it's impossible to take a break while you still have tables. So when you're done, clock out for 30 mins, come back, roll some silverware then you're done. Annoying AF!

@HistorianUSA1 In California, if I'm not allowed to take my unpaid 30 minute lunch break during a 6-10 hour shift (which sometimes happens in healthcare) I am compensated with an additional one hour of pay AND the company is fined by the state.

Let’s get your opinion on this: would you push back like she did? Here’s the situation. Her boss sent her home for taking her 30-min unpaid lunch that was literally in her contract/hiring notes. While no federal law requires lunch breaks, some states require employers to provide one (30 min unpaid, fully off-duty) for 6+ hr shifts. You can’t just force ‘eat at your desk while working’—that doesn’t count. Now, if her contract is indeed legally binding, the boss can’t magically delete it. What are your thoughts on this?

@RickD_GK Just guessing but she probably made up this "rule" because she doesn't know how to count change. I recently had a young cashier give me 75 cents in change consisting of 7 dimes and 1 nickel. 🤪 Yes, she had quarters in the drawer.

A homeless man asked a guy for some money, so he could get food. The man decided he could earn it instead. Had him wash his car for $20, part of it was in change. When the homeless man went inside the fast food joint to get food, they refused him service due to the change, which is still money..... So, the man who helped out, decided to shame the restaurant asking all customers to leave due to this, which the customers agreed. Do you think they did this to him because he is homeless, or was it justified because he was paying in change?

I do on the dryer, but I’ll be darned if I can even fine the dishwasher filter. Some dang commercial informs me at 72 that there’s a nasty filter in there, and I can’t find it!! I’ve found some things that might be candidates, but I can’t get them to turn. I may have to start handwashing dishes again.
