@chacon @krlvi @gitbutler Does the benchmark compare the `but`-skill-aware agent vs an un-skill-ed git/jj agent? Wouldn't it be more a apples-to-apples comparison to document for agents how to do the same operations with git/jj as thoroughly as you do with the `but` skill?

@krlvi did some pretty cool evals trying to determine how @gitbutler stacks up against Git and Jujutsu when being used by agents. While I assumed `but` would be better than Git since the CLI is optimized for that, I was surprised by JJ's benchmarks. blog.gitbutler.com/vcbench

I am sick of the word scale. People do not have perspective on what it means to build at scale. It's just a marketing word now.

You think rewriting Bun in Rust with agents is fun? How about rewriting Git into a memory-safe Rust library? A few weeks and 45B tokens in, the new Grit project is passing 99.3% of the entire 42k test Git testing suite.

@kylegalbraith It looks like that's mainly coming from speeding up image builds. Was that gain because they weren't doing caching well on GHA, or because now that caching is even closer on DCI? (Was this vs Depot GH runners?) (Great work by the way! Start a ticker of CI-decades-saved!)

magic of depot ci in a single image. workflow migrated off github actions and onto our ci in two commands. total job time on gha was 32 minutes, on depot ci it's 2 minutes.

@mxcl @ShamashAran The script may serve different content whether you load it with a browser vs curl. Even with curl the script can induce a pause that tells the server whether it's being piped to bash, and serve different content if it's piped. curl|bash is never safe.
