@Trish_Crain As a former high school math teacher, I agree with this move. I had many students who didn’t need higher level math to have successful careers. I think of several students who truly struggled after Algebra 1, but now how very successful careers.

Let’s talk about the House Speaker situation shall we? Steve Scalise has 113 votes, far short of the 217 he needs. Donald Trump endorsed Jim Jordan, who Marge Greene is voting for, despite the fact that he is currently whipping votes for Steve Scalise, who Nancy Mace refuses to vote for and George Santos says he isn’t voting for any of them. All of this chaos while Israel is at war and in need of our help. What a fucking mess.

@RogersHistory I know I am a terrible speller and many times I would ask the students how to spell a word! I wasn't perfect, I and I owned it!

Teachers - do you ever go to the board to write something and half way through have a panic attack about spelling a particular 'easy' word incorrectly so avoid the word replacing it with something else? Nope, just me then.

Does anyone else sometimes talk to themselves out loud when alone? My inner dialogue occasionally becomes my outer monologue and it makes me feel crazy. Maybe I am crazy.

@SamanthaKolber Probably how I felt when my son was thrilled to find my complete Shakespeare with all of my notes from undergrad.

My college son is taking a Literature of the Sea class and he texted to ask if I had any of the four titles on their syllabus and reader I HAVE ALL OF THEM I’VE NEVER FELT SO NEEDED!🤣

@offgridteacher Sounds about right. My hubby hasn't been to any of his. He said he didn't want to see any of those people when he had to attend school. Why would he pay to see them now?

I just found out that my high school reunion has been canceled- not that I was going to go. Out of the 640 in our graduating class, only 7 of them bought tickets.
