@ai_for_success Fabulous! In times gone, it was the General Practitioner or family doc who used to look at the body holistically. That GP has gone missing in this age of medical specialization. This is a really good use case for AI!

Wild story shared by a user about his uncle. AI can be really helpful sometimes. Credit : Reddit --- My 62-year-old uncle in India: Kidney failure (on dialysis 3x/week) Diabetes Hypertension Stroke 6 years ago Severe migraines ONLY when lying down to sleep Doctors tried: neurologists, nephrologists, brain MRI, blood thinners. Nobody could explain the positional headache pattern. I brought everything to Claude. Over several days: Claude identified the key clue everyone missed, the headaches are positional (lying down triggers them) Pulled research showing 40-57% of dialysis patients have undiagnosed sleep apnea Read his brain MRI report I uploaded, flagged relevant findings other docs overlooked Asked about snoring. Answer: loud snoring for 25 YEARS. Daily afternoon sleeping for 25 YEARS. Calculated STOP-BANG score: 6-7/8 (very high risk) Created a complete consultation brief for the pulmonologist Translated a home care plan into Gujarati (my native language) for family We got the sleep study done. Results were alarming: → Breathing stops 119 times per night → Oxygen drops to 78% (dangerously low) → 47 oxygen desaturations per hour → 28 minutes per night below safe oxygen level We put him on CPAP. Headaches gone. 25 years of loud snoring and daily exhaustion. Every doctor attributed it to "dialysis fatigue" or "age." It was sleep apnea the entire time, potentially causing his hypertension, contributing to his stroke, and definitely causing his headaches. The sleep apnea had been hiding in plain sight for 25 years, in his snoring that our family joked about, in his afternoon naps we thought were normal. Claude didn't just identify the problem. It created a structured diagnostic roadmap, explained which specialist to see first, what tests to request, what questions to ask, picked the right CPAP machine, explained every setting, and even wrote maintenance instructions in Gujarati (my native language). A ₹30,000 CPAP machine solved what years of specialist visits couldn't. AI didn't replace his doctors. But it connected dots across nephrology, neurology, pulmonology, and ENT that no single specialist was doing.

“Mom, bye bye. I don’t know if I will come back or not.” Those were the words 23-year-old Deepika Adhana from Faridabad told her mother before stepping into the cockpit for a tense rescue mission. Amid rising tensions in West Asia involving the US, Israel and Iran, several Indians in the UAE were struggling to return home. On March 6, Deepika received sudden orders from Air India Express to fly to Ras Al Khaimah as part of a special operation to bring them back. The flight was originally assigned to another pilot, but just two hours before departure, she was asked to take over. Deepika was part of an all-women crew led by Captain Jaswinder Kaur. Their mission was to safely evacuate 169 Indians stranded in the UAE. The aircraft landed in Ras Al Khaimah around 2 pm, and within an hour passengers were boarded for the return journey. During takeoff, the crew briefly lost contact with Air Traffic Control, creating a tense moment. But the flight continued safely and landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, bringing relief to families waiting for their loved ones. For Deepika, becoming a pilot was also about fulfilling a promise. Her late grandfather, Amrit Singh Adhana, had always dreamed of seeing her fly. And today, with 169 people safely home, Deepika made him proud. #DeepikaAdhana #WomenInAviation #IndianPilot #InspiringWoman [Deepika Adhana, Faridabad pilot rescue mission, Air India Express]

She didn’t just save children. She restored hope. When RPF Inspector Chandana Sinha stepped in, she saw not numbers but futures at risk. In 2024 and 2025, at the heart of Indian Railways’ child-welfare mission, she led Operation Nanhe Farishte with single-minded courage and compassion. Her team tracked down and freed 40 minors trapped in the cycle of child labour, guiding them back to safety and dignity. This was more than a rescue. It was a belief in every child’s right to a childhood. Today, her dedication is recognised with Indian Railways’ highest service honour for 2026, celebrating her vigilance, care, and tireless service. #RPF #IndianRailways #ChildRescue [Child Rescue, Indian Railways, RPF Operation Nanhe Farishte]

@ShashiTharoor I agree. The collection of pieces at the Bihar Museum at Patna is just awesome. I had the opportunity to visit it over two decades ago and it has stayed with me ever since. Would love to visit again

Spent 2.5 hours at the Bihar Museum in Patna yesterday and it wasn’t nearly enough! The Museum is a world-class gem — the seamless blend of modern architecture and ancient treasures is stunning. I spent over two hours wandering through the Mauryan, Gupta, and Pala dynasty collections, and I still feel like I missed so much. The interactive Children's Gallery and the courtyard spaces are 10/10 as well.

@IndianExpress @karnsatyarthi Congratulations Karn! Marvellous intervention! Electricity & easier access to water through a solar micro grid have addressed so many issues at one go. Well done! I hope other areas with similar hilly, remote terrains and abundant sunlight replicate your initiative.👏

@iRadhikaGupta Very well said. Point#5 is specially important. How is it that in their recent pronouncements our captains of industry have simply overlooked this fundamental aspect?! It's disturbing.

Choices, Hard Work and Happiness I debated whether to write this post, because the risk of being misquoted on this issue in this clickbait world is high. But I am trying to share what is a nuanced point of view on the issue of work-life balance. 1. Hard work is important and I was taught and believe that it is the only way to rise. In the competitive workplace, I also believe the person who works harder will rise faster. Great careers, achievements, and companies are the results of a lot of hard work. 2. Hard work is a choice. Ambition is a choice. And choices have consequences. Not everybody has to aspire to be a CEO or founder with a mega exit. I know many people who have chosen the path of a less demanding career within their field because time off from work matters to them. No judgments. 3. Now let's talk hours. I worked 100 hours a week for four consecutive months on my 1st project during my 1st job.18 hours a day, with one day off (and not Sunday—I got Monday off because I had to be at a client site on Sunday). What was it like? 90% of the time, I was miserable. I went to office bathrooms and cried, ate chocolate cake from room service at 2 a.m., and was hospitalized twice. Most importantly, I may have been at work for 100 hours, but I was not productive in those. The same story is true for many of my graduating classmates who joined similar roles in banking, consulting, etc. Hard work is not equal to hours worked. Many of those hours in entry-level careers were pure facetime. Heck, I know a friend who created a screensaver with an Excel model to convince their boss they were in the office! No wonder many of us didn't last in those roles very long. Hard work needs to be sustainable for us to be able to do it for a long period of time, which is when compounding kicks in. 4. Hours is not equal to productivity. Many developed nations work 8–4 but ensure those hours are productive. Come in on time, bring your best to work, have only necessary meetings, and use technology to be effective. Recently, I was telling my investment team, “Let’s find a way to use AI to make research more efficient—our talent cannot spend hours on grunt work.” 5. Family and mental health cannot be absent from this. Otherwise, we will build a world of anxiety and breakdowns, early heart attacks, unhappy marriages, and absentee parenting. I could work those hours I did as a young, single girl because I had no responsibilities. Today, between my career, managing my home, caring for parents, and giving time to my husband and son, I am consumed. And this is despite privilege: a hands-on husband, support staff, parents who chip in, and lots of resources. I commute 1.5 hours a day, but many commute 3–4 hours in our cities. They have homes to run, chores to do, dabbas to pack, kids to drop to school and more. 6. As organizations, we have to think about the culture we create. Of course, founders/CEOs work harder—they have economic incentives to do so. But I have found in our own org that when you create a culture where people find purpose in what they do, they will go above and beyond for you, even in difficult personal circumstances. Forcing anything is hard, let alone enforcing a certain number of hours. Inspiring people to give their best is easier. 7. All of us have to contribute to making India a developed nation. But as we do so, we should also strive to be a happy nation—enjoying the fruits of that development: the joy of building, of giving our families better lives, and of experiencing what the previous generation may not have had. Happiness, inclusive growth, and development go hand in hand. Finally, I meet many young people, especially women, who are questioning whether they should have a family because of the fear that family and career cannot coexist. This debate scares them even more. Having a happy relationship with work and life is possible while contributing to the dream of Viksit Bharat. Let’s tell our kids that.
