This is absolutely unacceptable. Your storage container was fine, and your driver was wonderful. But once I finished unloading my belongings, your customer service became extremely disappointing. I have now been told that you cannot pick up your own container for FIFTEEN DAYS because you are prioritizing larger clients over regular customers. That means I am left with no parking access for over two weeks because your company cannot manage its pickup schedule properly. This is not reasonable. Customers should not be punished or inconvenienced because your company chooses to prioritize bigger accounts. I paid for a service, and I expect that service to include timely removal of your container when I am finished with it. At this point, I should be charging you storage fees for leaving your container on my property. Leaving your container on my property for fifteen days after I no longer need it is completely unacceptable. This is poor planning, poor customer service, and a very disappointing way to treat paying customers. @PODS

Not losing yourself when life expands 🌿 New friends, a new job, a new relationship, a new season with family, these moments are beautiful, they mean we’re growing, but they’re also when we’re most likely to slowly drift away from ourselves without noticing. It doesn’t happen all at once, it happens quietly, we adjust our schedules, soften our preferences, put our needs on pause because we’re busy, because we want to please, because we want things to work, and little by little the things that grounded us begin to fade. This doesn’t only happen in romantic relationships, it happens in friendships, at work, in family life, anywhere we start choosing harmony over authenticity. Staying anchored doesn’t mean refusing to grow, growth is healthy, learning from others is beautiful, and both can be true. We can evolve and still remain rooted in who we are 🌱, because the problem isn’t adaptation, the problem is disappearance, and when we abandon ourselves just to keep things steady, growth quietly slows as well. In my book club, as I’m reading Mating in Captivity, I’ve been reflecting on the tension between desire and stability, it isn’t only about relationships, it’s about life. Stability brings comfort, while desire, creativity, and aliveness require space, individuality, and a strong sense of self ✨. Staying connected to yourself doesn’t require a full reset, sometimes it’s five or ten minutes a day, a small ritual, something that reminds you who you are 🤍. Because when you started that friendship, that job, that relationship, you were already someone, you didn’t become valuable because of them, you brought value with you. Let yourself expand, let yourself learn, let yourself evolve, just make sure you’re still in the picture. If you paused today and asked yourself, “Am I still in this picture,” what would your honest answer be?

The Eternal Pause of “But” The word but is small, yet it carries incredible weight. It can soften, contradict, or completely shift the meaning of a sentence. Sometimes but is hopeful, as in “Things are tough, but we’ll get through this.” In that form, it signals a silver lining, a turning point, a breath of possibility. Other times, but lands with heaviness. It often comes after a string of compliments or affirmations, like “You’re amazing, I admire your work, but…” and we brace ourselves for what follows. It is the pivot where admiration turns into rejection, encouragement into criticism, or hope into doubt. That pause before the but can feel like an eternity, as if time stretches while our hearts prepare for impact. What makes but so powerful is its duality. It is both bridge and barrier. It connects two truths, yet often leaves us focusing on the second part, the harder part. Rarely do we hold onto the praise before the but, we remember what came after. That is why it is important to step back and remind ourselves that but does not erase our worth. Most of the time, we truly did our best. What follows the but is often about context, circumstance, or someone else’s expectations, not a reflection of our value. It helps to stick to facts and data when we can, rather than spiraling into self-doubt. And yet, this is one of the hardest things to practice, because emotions rush in where logic struggles to stay steady. In the end, the word but teaches us something about perspective. We can choose to fear it as the doorway to disappointment, or we can use it as a tool for balance. Life itself is full of buts: joy but sorrow, success but failure, endings but new beginnings. Each but is not a cancellation, but a reminder that two things can coexist. And maybe the pause before the but is not meant to frighten us, but to remind us to breathe and see the whole picture. Not long ago, I experienced a moment that reminded me of just how heavy this word can be. A single but was enough to shift everything, leaving me reflecting on how much power it carries. And that reflection is what inspired me to write these words today. Reflection The pause before the but is where our strength lives, in learning that the words that follow do not define us, but refine Hasta luego mi amor … #LifeReflections #WordsMatter #EmotionalHealing #NewBeginnings #InspirationDaily #GratefulMoments #neverforgetyou #words #newwriter

When I say life is uncertain, I mean it truly is. Nothing in life is ever guaranteed. We like to think we know what is coming, our health, our work, our relationships, our daily routines, and that brings us comfort. But the reality is everything can change in an instant. Uncertainty is simply the state of not knowing what comes next, not having clear outcomes, not having control over every variable. It is part of being human, yet it can feel deeply uncomfortable. There are days when I feel this more than others. Uncertainty can feel like silence when you wish for answers or like watching the world shift in ways you cannot control. It can feel heavy in your body, as if everything is holding its breath. For me, it is easy to start imagining everything that could go wrong or all the things that may never happen, and that can pull me into overthinking and worry. Our brains are wired to do exactly that. The human brain has a built-in alarm system that constantly scans for potential danger. It is a survival mechanism designed to keep us safe, a trait we have carried since ancient times when noticing a threat could mean the difference between life and death. When our brain senses uncertainty, it often interprets it as a possible threat because it does not have clear information to rely on. That uncertainty triggers the parts of the brain that manage fear and stress, releasing hormones that prepare us to fight, flee, or freeze. It is not that the brain wants us to feel anxious, it is trying to protect us, to keep us safe from harm. But here is what changes everything. When I slow down, breathe, and bring myself into the present, uncertainty loses its grip. I connect with my body, feel my breath, notice my heart and chest, and ask, “What is actually happening right now? What do I know for sure?” I remind myself of the facts, not the “what ifs.” And when I intentionally turn my attention to what I already have, to what I am grateful for, something shifts. I notice that I am safe, I have what I need, and I am capable of handling what comes. Gratitude calms my nervous system and brings me back to now, where things are okay. Sometimes, uncertainty is not just an idea, it is real. When that happens, I find comfort in knowing I can take action. I can create a plan, take small steps, and prepare for change. That action, no matter how small, makes me feel less powerless and more grounded. Practicing this consistently, attending to my body, focusing on the facts of now, feeling gratitude, and taking action where I can, changes everything. The haze of uncertainty begins to fade. Life feels lighter, more manageable, and even in unknown territory there is an anchor: the fact that right now, things are okay. The Comfort of Lentils 🫶 There’s something so nourishing about a pot of slow-cooked lentils, humble, hearty, and full of love. Today I made one of my favorite comfort meals: a simple lentil stew with smoked pork chops, carrots, potatoes, and of course, the star of the show, lentils. I added a bay leaf while it simmered, along with garlic, onion, salt, and freshly cracked black pepper. Once it was ready, I served it with a little bit of rice and finished it with a generous handful of fresh cilantro. I always add a lot. Lentils are packed with plant-based protein, fiber, iron, and folate. They’re good for your heart, support digestion, and keep you full and satisfied. And when they’re cooked like this, slow and savoury, they taste like home. Optional add-ins: a splash of olive oil at the end, a pinch of smoked paprika or cumin, or even a few chili flakes if you like a bit of heat. Let it simmer. Let it nourish. Let it comfort. 🌿 #Lentils #ComfortFood #HomeCooking #SimpleMeals #SoulfulEats #foodlovers #healthyfood

The Power of a Simple Meal It’s easy to fall into the habit of grabbing whatever is quick when no one else is around. But caring for ourselves, especially when we live alone, is an act of quiet strength. This morning, I chose to start my week with a simple, nourishing breakfast: scrambled eggs with zucchini and green onions, a few slices of fresh kiwi, sourdough toast drizzled with olive oil, and a warm cup of dandelion coffee with pistachio milk. Nothing extravagant, just food made with intention. Taking the time to nourish ourselves doesn’t just feed the body. It grounds the spirit. It reminds us that we’re worthy of care, even when no one else is watching. Self-care isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence. Whatever we’re going through, even a small act of care can shift the day. A simple meal made with love can bring us back to ourselves. Start with breakfast. Start with you. Wishing you a gentle and grounded start to your week. Happy Monday 💛 #ThePowerOfSimple #NourishYourself #MindfulLiving #SoloCare #MondayMotivation #SelfCareStartsHere #GroundedMorning #food #foodlovers

Venezuela is under a nacional blackout. It is not an electrical failure. It is an intentional method to keep people from protesting, control them and torture them. While there are hospitals in complete darkness the torture centers still have electricity #SOSVenezuela
