apple should run this as an ad for the macbook neo lmao. i know it’s against their whole ethos but this is an incredible demonstration of how if you build a really high quality thoughtful product the users themselves will proliferate the message in highly creative ways without you ever having to say or do any real marketing (organic or paid). a lot of ppl forget this.

Apple hardware chief Ternus knows he needs bold new AI products and is the driving force behind its trio of new AI wearables and a big push into the smart home. But he was also — for better or for worse — against the Vision Pro, Apple Car and beefing up the original HomePod.

THE BIG TAKE: As Apple turns 50, the wheels of succession are in motion. John Ternus is the company's "nice guy" CEO heir apparent. The most in-depth look at Ternus, his growing empire and Apple’s Tim Cook succession plans to date. bloomberg.com/features/2026-…

Vision Pro is the best spatial computer on the planet and it’s not even close. Vision OS is unmatched and everyone is trying to copy it.

Video clip of playing Beat Saber using the maxed out “Eureka mode” preset on Vision Pro (with PS VR2 Sense controllers) As a reminder, this should work with any OpenXR game out of the box TestFlight is awaiting approval. Join ClearXR discord for updates: discord.gg/fPydrxcPDP

The first PC VR local streaming client that takes advantage of visionOS 26.4’s built in Foveated Streaming framework is coming to TestFlight very soon! It is called ClearXR and taps into NVIDIA’s OpenXR runtime: it already performs much better for PCVR gaming than ALVR

@OdionCreates For the next few days. Eventually a test flight will be available to eliminate the Mac. And eventually it'll be on the App Store.

@Matth_Actu You need Xcode 26.4 release candidate, and might need a paid developer account - that's all I needed.

@justinryanio The author of that article seems jaded in general by wearable technology even though it's her beat. What I don't understand is how she can't differentiate between Meta's obvious press manipulative slop and the deep care and focus Apple has put into the Vision Pro.

The Verge has lost its way. Several months ago, they interviewed me for 45 minutes about Apple Vision Pro. I spent 43 minutes talking about what I love, and 2 minutes on what I’d change. They twisted parts of those 2 minutes and cut everything positive I said. To make it worse, the author opened the interview by saying they were biased against headsets. I miss the old Verge. The one that was fun. The one that spotlighted tech instead of throwing shade.

lol. Don’t hate:) Vision Pro is awesome tech, but it’s collecting dust for 99.9% of all owners. I literally used mine for 2 days and thought wtf do I do with this? The short? Nothing. Which is what all of us decided at the same time. So is the verge really off base here? Even Apple cut production by like 99% and the ad budget entirely. So????
