@VX___________ @zollotech I remember getting rid of both Gen 1 and 2 well before their time because they were both outdated by their slow processor. Gen 4 lasted 5+ years.

Friend calls. She’s flying with the kids tomorrow. The iPad has USB-C. She needs a USB-C to headphone jack dongle. I go through every drawer, every bag. Nothing. I have USB-C to everything except that. I am a failure.

@SnazzyLabs @ChristianSelig I gave up on using Siri on them long ago. Now that software updates are no longer available on Gen 1, my next worry is when they stop working altogether. Hopefully the obsolescence gods have a heart and let speakers be speakers :-)

Siri has gotten so remarkably stupid that my HomePod devices can no longer reliably perform HomeKit actions; literally the simplest, most basic requirements for a smart speaker. If I didn’t care so much about local control, I’d leave for Google or Alexa so fast.

@nerogej Agree, it’s not clear why Window Body Follow is Enterprise only. Hopefully they are just previewing the feature to Enterprise.

It took me 23 days to apply the visionOS 26 Enterprise API license. I tried the *VisionEntitlementServices*, it makes the license and capability status checking easier. *Window Body Follow* Capability is so useful, I wonder why Apple keep this only in Enterprise API

@Scobleizer @justinryanio IMAX has lower brightness, no OLED, worse 3D and worse definition in many cases. The only area where cinema still surpasses Vision Pro is sound. I’ve only been to one cinema that’s truly better: The Sphere in Las Vegas.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 and Part 2 are available to watch in 3D on Vision Pro. I love the ultrawide aspect ratio. Movies on Vision Pro are better than in the theater.

@Scobleizer @justinryanio F1 in IMAX at the theater was incredible but I went back and watched the IMAX trailer in the IMAX app in Vision Pro afterwards and it was pretty damn close. Apple needs to get more IMAX content on Vision Pro.

@justinryanio That isn't true, but it certainly is better than anyone's home theater, or the screen in a plane on the seat in front of you. Seeing F1 in IMAX is way better than Vision Pro.

This stacked sensor design could reach up to 20 stops of HDR, which is what the average Human eye is considered capable of AND real-time hardware noise reduction at the sensor level If the patent came to fruition, I’d argue it would be most useful for MR passthrough cameras

@rmondello It would be awesome if you could have the team test this Software Update account screen for Passwords app support. Beta 2 leaves a lot to be desired. It’s near impossible to use unless the user manually types password.

@KassinosS @tim_cook Fully support. Basing Siri on a cloud platform to play catchup doesn’t change the near term and long term value that MLX brings. MLX, its Apple team and the MLX open source community is the only reason I have faith Apple can be competitive. Don’t screw up a good thing.

If the rumors are true and the MLX team is considering leaving, it would mark one of Apple’s worst strategic missteps at a critical moment. Killing MLX wouldn’t just derail Apple’s AI trajectory—it would undercut the entire Studio line and the M-series chips. @tim_cook, nurture the MLX team and let Studio bloom. If Apple drops MLX now, it’s not just a fumble—it’s a faceplant. This isn’t a side project—it’s a core enabler of cutting-edge, on-device AI. @tim_cook, this is your moment to double down. Backing MLX powers the Studio, strengthens Apple’s AI position, and inspires a developer community that’s already all in.

@ItsJonLebron Education market is big for Apple. Seems perfect for that.

I can’t even fathom how this would be beneficial to their product line. Splitting the capability of the “Mac” between the iPad line up…? Their “notebook” is the Air. What’s the upsell here? A 2019 iPad with a permanent keyboard? Nah. Seems like a report to weed out leakers.

@DylanMcD8 And these early betas feel more polished than iOS which is interesting given the scale differences. The only challenge I have had so far is with eye scroll which makes it harder to interact with window controls. Turning that off made it feel as stable as v2.5 to me.

visionOS 26 makes me feel like the engineers working on it use Apple Vision Pro every day. So many nice touches that you'd only add if you truly used it. The latest Quest updates, however, make me feel the opposite... :/

@nandoprince93 @sotsu_brand Macs have also supported auto pairing with Apple Keyboards and Mice after connecting the device with USB-C briefly. This is great when temporarily using different MacBooks at a desk. Sadly USB-C iPad Pro don’t support this feature either.

For those curious about clamshell mode on iPadOS 26… 🤓
