@Hghtower42 @RebeccaMadison_ It’s an arbitrary cultural feature is my point. Before I was a vegetarian I lived in Italy and ate horse meat a lot - it was fantastic! Friends back home in America thought it was savagery

@RebeccaMadison_ @swgold We have dishes traditionally made with horse meat in Germany (as do many other European countries). Not infrequently still made with horse meat, though often beef. My family on my dad's side is bigly involved in horseback riding, but I've never really heard any voice opposition

@alexisohanian Can’t both things can be true? Monetary/fiscal policy has clearly been expansionary to say the least (which is the correct policy response IMO) and inflation exacerbated by supply chain/commodity disruptions. So institutions are saying “this is the best we can do”

The story of inflation (now announced at 8.5%) as discussed by my twitter feed ("Money printer goes brrrr") versus institutions (media, govt, experts all saying "nothing to see here") over the last couple of years has been staggering & I'm not sure how trust gets recovered...
