Why are LFC disappointed with protest being the next step? We’ve written to them twice since the announcement and outlined our position. They’ve replied the first time to say it’s going ahead as planned. What do they think the next step should be, silent prayer?

A Trump insider opened a $51,000,000 oil short position — hours before Trump announced a ceasefire with Iran. This guy is now 16 for 16. $170 million in profit. A perfect streak. This is not a talented trader. "We placed the bet." "The ceasefire dropped." "We cashed out." Sixteen times in a row. That is not skill. That is not instinct. That is not research. That is someone who knows what is coming before it comes. Think about what that actually means. A private individual is placing a $51 million bet that oil prices are about to collapse — hours before a sitting president announces a ceasefire that collapses oil prices. Not once. Sixteen times. Zero losses. There are only two explanations and both should terrify you. Either someone inside the White House — or with direct access to it — is leaking ceasefire negotiations to traders before diplomats, before the press, before the American people hear a single word. That is insider trading. That is corruption. That is a federal crime. Or the timing of the announcement itself is being shaped around the trade. Which is worse. This is not a genius investor who reads the news faster than you do. The news hadn't happened yet. He wasn't reading the news. He was getting a phone call. While Americans were watching the ceasefire announcement and feeling relieved — somebody already knew. Somebody had already bet $51 million on it. And somebody was already counting their winnings. You are not watching a free market. You are watching a White House with a side hustle. Via~ Really American

Hospitality tickets at Leeds vs Chelsea are almost 3 times more expensive than Man City vs Southampton, despite being the exact same round of the FA Cup. Disgraceful that the FA are even trying to extort fans cause they know it'll be paid... This surely isn't fair 🤦🏼‍♂️

Embarrassed by the amount of dickheads who think they have more in common with American hedge fund billionaires than the average fan who goes the game. It’s not about you. It’s about the next generation & the generation after that.

This, albeit Liverpool specific, pretty much sums it all up. Feels like we’re waiting for the final nail in the coffin to seal the disconnect from the people who made footy to the people who profit from it. Game’s gone.

Shittest and least accessible World Cup ever, PL clubs rinsing us for every penny, cup finals only giving 20% allocations, clubs finding any reason to remove STHs The list goes on… Elite football is absolutely on its arse. Non league is the future.

Another tax year done, another year my loan grows. Despite working more than full time as a doctor in my third year of practice my salary repayments don’t even cover the interest on my loan. What a farce of a system.

Fair play to @spiritofshankly - protests to take place at Liverpool shortly. Another club prioritising day trippers but their new extension has killed the atmosphere & identity of the club on a matchday is under threat.

So wait til its too late to initiate change because the team are letting us down every week? Blaming @spiritofshankly for the timing & not the owners? Piss poor. If they chose not to act last time, tickets would be £100+ per game. Sure Virg will be gutted if we don’t buy a pie!🤣

Spirit of Shankly yet again unable to read the room. Captain has said the team is fragile right now, so what do they do? Protest. Clueless. They threw their toys out of the Pram on Jurgens last European night and sucked the atmosphere out of Anfield too over the flags Terrible, Terrible timing as always and kind of speaks to them solely self serving without thought for the club

Massive reality check. An expert politics professor reveals 21 percent of the UK lives in poverty. Shockingly, without London, the UK's GDP would be lower than Mississippi, the poorest US state. Decades of underinvestment have completely destroyed the North.
