A very close friend reached out to me and said he saw a car he really liked and said he wanted me to help him inspect before paying for the car. He’s out of the country and he wanted me to help get the car and keep with me till he comes home, he had already made enquiries and negotiated the price, he told me the agreed price and sent the money to my account immediately. The car was in Ibadan, I told him I wasn’t chanced to go and inspect and I would make out time to rush through to Ib the next day and inspect.. He said I should reach out to the contact and make a commitment, I told him that “Padi, I cannot make commitments or make any payment for a car I haven’t seen and inspected physically, I cannot take that risk” that’s how I work.. He understood and agreed with me. I reached out to the contact and made arrangements and booked an appointment for the next day to go to Ibadan and help him check the car. My guy called me again and said, Wale, what if someone else buys the car? I said, then another one will come, if I make commitments and get to Ib and the car doesn’t meet up with the required standard, to collect money back will be hard, I don’t have the luxury of time to be chasing that kind of refund, that’s when they will start doing everything to force you or impose the car on you, and then bring up stories that touch. The car was good looking but from experience, eyes don seee shege!! About 4 hours later that same day, my guy called me and said the car had been sold, I reached out to the contact in Ib to confirm and he said it had been sold.. No worries No regrets No issues.. I just told my guy to send his account details so I could refund the money straight up.. I also refunded the money for logistics and prepurchase inspections… No matter the pressure or how catchy any car may seem to be or look like on phone, If I don’t see and inspect a car physically by myself, I cannot commit or recommend at all, this is also an errand I don’t like to send anyone on, there are certain things I look out for that I think most people normally ignore, and there are ways I verify car documents be it foreign or Naija used, a car can even be good or perfect but have shady documents, You really do not want to go through any Customs or Police wahala when it comes to cars and documents, I no dey joke with my principles at all. My guy understood my stand shaa, we’ll get him another one whenever he sees something he likes again🙂 It is what it is….

I have been seeing this thing in the market and they said it's dry tomatoes I decided to buy it and give it a trial, I first soak it in hot water, then it soften, I added salt to it and washed uncounted times The sand in this thing eeeeehhh is nothing to write home about I blended it with onions and peppers, then I cooked mine stew🌶️🌶️ As the food was ready I quickly dished it out a little to taste it, I was disappointed because it was not actually giving the real taste of fresh tomatoes It was having one kind of a bitter taste and that of garden egg fruits Only God knows what they mixed and dried up and called it dried tomatoes Though it was thick but for me, it's a big Nooooo for me to use it again , I rather spend much and buy fresh tomatoes or cook only with sachets tomato ©zubbycookingtips

I’ve been seeing the cars submerged in water because of the recent heavy rainfalls… Let me give us some guiding tips.. It is usually an unprecedented situation as most of us don’t plan to encounter floods or any form of being stranded. If you happen to find your car submerged unanticipatedly, if the water level at least goes beyond the level of the tyre.. 1.) Switch off the engine immediately… Just switch it off 2) Try and go out of the car for your own safety, for cars wired electronically such that the doors or windows may not function because of the water, you can break through the window with your head rest on the car seat, your car seats are designed in such a way that you can detach them, remove it and break the glasses to find your way out 3) If the rain, flood abates, do not try to start or crank your engine immediately, this is where most people have issues with their cars 4) It is important that you try and drain the engine oil immediately and service it at that point, while not making any attempt to ignite or start the engine.. 5) Try and leave the car for about 2-3 days without doing anything, just leave it to dry off, if it is on the main road or obstructing traffic, put your gear lever on the Neutral position, for both manual and automatic transmissions and push it off the road, remember, do not try to ignite the car From experience and a professional angle, you may not have to spend a dime on the car for repairs, the car will come up after 48hours if you do not try to crank it from the inception of the flood or rain. It might be too much if a sacrifice to wait but it will save you a whole lot of expenses.. Worst case scenario, tow the car to your house or anywhere near that is safe, just do not start the engine and leave it for at least 48 hours.. Most importantly, drain the engine oil after the first 24 hours and have the engine oil replaced before attempting to start or ignite the engine. I’m A Mechanic, and I know these tips will help. If there will be any electrical malfunctions, they will be minimal, just leave your car for at least 48 hours. #DoroMecho ✌️✌️
