If y'all wondering why I haven't been on twitch.tv for a while and I haven't felt the need to stream: first time streaming in months, suspended for drawing a pipe in a wall. fuck twitch. Their content moderation has made drawing there impossible.

@swishchee Would honestly suggest youtube. Not hard to get to the ability to stream and they don't care if you're gay so long as you aren't making blatantly pornographic material.

So Twitch’s crackdown on LGBT-leaning content has finally affected me, with my Twitch channel being suspended for pornography for depicting… two dudes cuddling, with no explicit activity being shown. I might move to picarto, but that’s tiiiiny. Maybe private Discord groups.

@ILM126 Nothing will be resolved with Twitch. They’ve made their stance clear: it’s entirely at their whim, and unwritten, what is appropriate. For now, it seems to be non-pornographic LGBT content. Last night was a fun stream on a private Discord group. I’ll be doing more of that now.

@swishchee Oh shoot, I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope either something gets resolved soon or Picarto maybe? (I was surprised when I started seeing art streams on Twitch tbh, have always thought Picarto or Piczel to be the place to stream art)

@norfdog @TwitchSupport Yep, and there’s absolutely nothing I can do about it, as far as I can tell. I still have no idea what rule I violated. The only explanation I can find is that it was too gay for them. “If you enjoy cuddling too much, you’re probably having a sex about it, especially if gay!”

@norfdog @TwitchSupport I submitted an appeal which was instantly rejected with no explanation. There is no support for me to talk to, that I’ve been able to find.

@PickledPaintArt I highly recommend alla prima by Richard Schmid. There’s a lot of talk in there about edge control as ways of implying form in complex stuff. It’s super interesting to read and even tho I read the concepts it took a while to really understand the implications of how to apply them
