@sylabdul Subpoenas are part of the process but only when DOJ has concerns. This means the deal just entered the most intense review phase. Not a routine step for most mergers. But probably an expected step for a deal this large.

@Dixonverse Are you bragging that you’ve been wrong for 6 months so far? Is one of those things where when he leaves in 3-4 years ya’ll can say you called it?

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J Ask grok to be as accurate as possible using Superman’s box office by weekend using average studio/box office split percentages of opening week and weeks after and I guarantee it will return a higher domestic box office than the 50/40 math it used before.

Glad to hear #DCStudios kept #SUPERGIRL’s budget in check. With the CBM heydays past us, It’s more important than ever that you give your CBMs all conditions to succeed at Global #BoxOffice: Optics are as important as delivering a good movie. Unless you got a strong reason to believe your film will be a locked 600M+ grosser at the very least under any circumstances, if you are a legacy studio which still relies at Global #BoxOffice grosses as your main source of revenue for your movies, you should never allow its budget to balloon towards that 200M mark, let alone past it. As I’ve been saying since 2021, In a world where the 400M+ mark became the new 700M and 700M+ became the new 1B for most blockbusters, there is absolutely no reason to keep expending over 200M for every single blockbuster. It’s past time for Hollywood to seriously tackle this issue and adequate their budgets not only to this new Post-Covid reality, but also to their films’ honestly evaluated potential. Obviously, exceptions exist and taking risks for projects you truly believe in are also necessary time to time, but the problem is that what was supposed to be a exception became the rule for almost all blockbusters under the yellow sun. That’s not sustainable and isn’t good for anyone.

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J I cant tell if you’re trolling or just not understanding. 50/40 is a shortcut not reality. Big, front-loaded films like Superman use sliding splits 65% opening, then stepping down weekly. Domestic $ is higher than grok’s blanket math suggests.

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J Even if we lowball everything we can estimate it made at least $50m before release. With the front loaded domestic success of Superman let’s be serious and accept it didn’t loss $80m. Movie math is more complicated then you want to accept.

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J How is that relevant? All I said is that merchandising and product placement is a known way of lowering production/marketing costs. Superman had a huge toy line push and had clear product placement/brand deals for the film. Even if it was a $1 it would still offset pricing by $1.

@ItzJustSebaa Snyder fans always tell on themselves. How can you be embarrassed by Jimmy Olsen? His comic runs are always odd by/comedy stories. DCU having different tones in their projects is a plus. If everything was the same the universe would get stale.

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J Sure, MoS was more successful…who’s disputing that? But MoS isn’t the only movie ever to make a lot of money before release. So did Superman (especially in merchandising deals). And no, that’s using simple math for something more complicated. Google box office scaling.

@switchblade551 @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J It’s using AVERAGE industry splits. You gays act like Superman isn’t subject to the same calculations as other movies😂. You’re obviously mistaking MoS, it made $170m in product placement before the movie released. Also MoS made $52m more theatrically😏. MoS is more successful.

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J Again you’re using simplistic math because you want to hate. Wait until you learn how much movies make in merchandising, product placement, and shared cost expenses. A lot of the production and marketing costs were already paid before the movie even came out 😂

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J On top of that, Variety put marketing around $125M, not $150M-$200M. So the “it lost $100M” line is based on oversimplified rentals and inflated costs. Just like you will inevitably do with Supergirl you’ll make up costs to spin a narrative that isn’t true.

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J You’re getting AI to use simplistic math to spin a narrative. In reality the 50/40 split is an inaccurate shortcut. Superman was domestic heavy and domestic box office returns more to the studio than overseas.

@JameSmithorienn @Lord_Alucard_V @Luiz_Fernando_J And variety reported a $125m marketing budget. So that figure is really unknown. Reported by several outlets the movie made $125m in profits theatrically. That leaves out all the post theater revenue it made. Like being a top selling VOD of 2025. Movie made bank 🏦

@OurMovieNews I do think there is a little meaning behind it besides building up his Instagram. He’s currently looking a for distributor for the Last Photograph. I think he’s trying to show he has a big following.

Think he was just building his Instagram presence up. His DC films are his most popular creations so sharing images of those will get the most interactions. Look how his followers grew. But Snyder fans will always see that & think there’s a hidden meaning behind it.

Zack went from tweeting his DC like a madman possessed for months including a countdown to ZSJL anniversary, then week of did a total about face on the hype he was intentionally building, now dead silence?
