My message to my fellow Americans and friends around the world following this week's attack on the Capitol.

Thanksgiving has always been a special time for the Biden family. And while I know this isn’t the way many of us hoped to spend the holiday, the small act of staying home is a gift to our fellow Americans.

In 2016, when Trump won MI, PA and WI by 77, 000 votes, it was part of his "landslide" victory. In 2020, when Biden won MI, PA and WI by 255,000 votes, and won the popular vote by 6 million, it was "voter fraud."  We will not allow Trump to destroy American democracy.

It is beyond pathetic for a sitting president to try to subvert the results of an election. It is even worse when the Republican Party, with few exceptions, remains silent over this outrageous attack on democracy. The GOP has ceased to be a political party. It is now a cult.

I hope every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities.

With few exceptions like Putin & Farage, the entire world welcomes President Biden and Vice-President Harris. After four years of lies, venal hypocrisy and vicious hostility to decency and humane values, America has taken a major step towards making America great again.

President Biden will have an unenviable task picking up the pieces & trying to unite the country after this farcical 4-year tragi-comedy of a presidency. The months till inauguration will be dangerous as a desperate Führer in his bunker tries to pull the world down with him.
