In some unexpected but wonderful news today, after three great years on the @BFI x @BAFTA Crew programme, I have GRADUATED (?) and have now been accepted to join the brand new @BAFTA Connect programme in its inaugural year. Thank you BAFTA for believing in me! #BAFTAconnect

It’s so hard to fund films so… Roman Coppola, Eduardo Sanchez and I are teaming up with @DCP_Foundation & @arts3fdn to give 2 horror filmmakers $25k each to make a horror short! We’ll help with production and much much more! follow DCP for info on the new HORROR initiative!

If you need to build confidence as a filmmaker, look inward. It's not going to come from a festival acceptance or a distribution deal or any other gatekeeper. It will come from making films over and over again until you can no longer doubt your own abilities.

@HelenSimmons8 @MarkDuplass I love this talk and everything about The Duplass Brothers. I've watched this talk in particular so many times too and I ALWAYS share it with anyone that will listen as it's so inspiring. But I also watch it just for me when I need that friendly reminder and pick-me-up too.

I always have a slight existential crisis when I get back from a holiday and this one has led me back to the talk which guided my whole approach to working in the film industry when I started out. Heartily recommend it if you have a spare 25 mins - from the legend @MarkDuplass

@ChristianG1122 Woah, of course, these were all real locations but that's so surreal!! Some of them look unchanged too, like literally stepping into the series. Yeah, I don't often say it but I agree it is a masterpiece, so many layers that still resonate now & continually evolve. Timeless.

@ChristianG1122 Oh really? Wow, that must have been really interesting to pinpoint locations from the show. Yeah, it has been described as a 60-hour novel which feels about right. I've probably watched it through around 5-6 times, & always notice different things each time.

@ChristianG1122 Yes to S4 of The Wire. That is my personal favourite season but I don't know if I can call it the best season... partly because my opinion constantly changes with every rewatch, and I can't quite choose!! 100% agree though that S4 is basically perfection though... no notes ha!
