So sad to see @ReproJobs go but so appreciative of the way they have held the door open for others to continue this work!

Spoke at the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference this wknd on a panel about #CSE. It was deeply encouraging to see so many young women so engaged, so fired up, and so eager to fight for reproductive rights.

important to note that REAHYA wouldn’t be able to directly change state laws around sex ed - but it would motivate states to teach high quality inclusive sex ed by creating a new stream of funding for it + reprogramming harmful SRAE funding! @NadraKareem
Fortesa Latifi@hifortesa
just *three* states require comprehensive sex ed in schools and @RepBarbaraLee is trying to change that – via @NadraKareem for @19thnews 19thnews.org/2023/08/sex-ed…

A must-read from @ChabeliH. In all the talk about parent rights & parent choice, one thing is brutally clear: the lack of publicly-funded child care is causing many fam's to lose the choice about their work & care situation- or even their family planning.

We were glad to show support for a fellow #ece educator— and @NAEYC member—by attending the @HouseSmallBiz hearing as Corrine spoke about her #familychildcare program, a #SmallBiz that helps other families go to work & realize their American Dreams. #solvechildcare

It’s always incredibly frustrating to see the East Asian experience presented as being representative of all Asian Americans. Asian Americans are incredibly diverse group - and stories about us should reflect that.
Karthick Ramakrishnan@karthickr
Yes, they did it again. @nytopinion conducted a focus group of 12 Asian Americans that is wildly unrepresentative of who Asian Americans are. Two-thirds were East Asian. And only 1 was South Asian. It is high time to face the facts. aapidata.com/blog/facts-sou… [1/x]

What if all parents in high-profile positions were this honest about their #childcare struggles? The pandemic might have highlighted the problem, but for so many parents the situation still hasn't improved, as our #changechildcare report points out: hubs.li/Q01Dxn310

We can all agree on this right?
Children shouldn't go hungry. Child care providers shouldn't go hungry to feed them.
