@TTChelps as several people scramble across the street in the rain to catch an either of two busses they both pull away, almost empty. Typical ttc drivers, no shame or common compassion for the riders.

@MattOfTheRoses @TPSOperations @TTChelps @ttcriders Gave up on King westbound after over 30 minute wait with one overpacked streetcar going by. Every northbound green light on Spadina at King had cars box blocking. @TPSOperations why are you not issuing tickets every day here? What do we get for over $1b?! You should be ashamed.

@sydneygalbraith Totally agree. And if you travel from one studio to the next, you quickly realize not all trackballs *feel* the same lol. I used to travel with my own to avoid using the gunky, stiff ones that aren’t cleaned enough in most studios 🤢

I wish I could go back to using a Kensington, but it’s objectively slower than a mouse so I always end up feeling less productive when I use it

@turimakesmusic @alexprevity Ah, I see what you mean. The ergonomics are the main reason for me. The customizability is great, but can make it a nightmare to even try using someone else's setup of the same hardware. As said; totally preference, as long as it's not hurting.

@sydneygalbraith @alexprevity Yup you can definitely adjust the sensitivity, but in my experience transitioning the ball’s inertia from left-to-right or up-to-down when making quick transitions requires more precision than when using a mouse. Idk, totally preference

@alexprevity The learning curve with any trackball is fairly steep, but this specific model is especially rough lmaoo. The lateral movement is a bit slower than a traditional mouse, but the trade off lays in the ergonomics. They’re also awesome in control rooms where mouse space is limited

@TekSavvyCSR Our service is suddenly down today, phone help had nothing to offer and there's no tech available?? This isn't really acceptable as we WFH. How do we get a tech out today?

@luminolaudio @AudioPost I also had a bad thunderbolt cable on my red4pre at work. Apple branded cable and adapter. Had a problem on one machine but not on the other so YMMV.

Anyone have issues with Focusrite Red 16Line? Mine stopped putting out any audio. Working fine this morning but stopped after lunch. Thunderbolt light is green. Connected to Mac and Pro Tools. Audio metering on interface and Rednet control but no output on line outs or headphones

I just read that 'sitting' is more dangerous than smoking. Now I'm wondering if I'm headed for an early grave... I used to be a lot more active than I am, but it's so tough finding the time. How do you folks still work hard but find time to exercise and remain active and fit?

@delmixedit True. There's a factor of audience consumption that I would dare mention; some genre's attract more active listeners vs. more passive listeners, so the viability of "investing" in an immersive mix pays off for some artists more than others. Artistically, if not financially.

On one hand we talk about the additional expenses from engineers to artists for Atmos, on the other I’m finding JAZZ albums mixed in Atmos! We can all agree that Jazz isn’t making “big bucks”, but they believe in the format enough to make the investment.

@Tommythecatz @izzy_marizee Basically same here, but instrument tracks for the returns for easy copy/paste on recurring locations. I keep going back and forth on mixing from the sends or the returns though, seems to depend on whether the film has a lot of perspective changes in scenes or fewer.

@izzy_marizee I have a mono(adr) & 3-4 5.0 (small, medium, large, special) & a couple of ext delays on auxes for each food group(dx, mx, fx) and sends on each track to each. The sends are at 0dB and bypassed and the aux returns set at a good level so you only need to unbypass and it works.
