@tomwarren I remember being excited when Copilot first came out, now its in almost every single MS product and I truthfully couldn't care less for it

Microsoft is announcing Copilot Health today. It can connect to your medical records and wearables, and is designed to help users decipher lab test results and find doctors theverge.com/tech/893594/mi…

@tomwarren @StarFire2258 @jaypeters The rest of their keynotes sort of hinted at this. Will be interesting to see how they get developers to build for Xbox if the PC-port of their games will also run on Xbox
English

Microsoft says you build next-gen Xbox games by building them for PC. My colleagues @StarFire2258 and @jaypeters are in line for the Xbox GDC keynote, but look at what they spotted. "Next-gen game preservation" and building for PC for next-gen consoles 👀 theverge.com/news/893196/mi…

@JetSetHan @screentime I understand wanting it to but I think this may be the safer bet. Plus there's a certain vibe they get to pull off with this

@screentime I do wish the suit was part of the ring rather than just a suit but I guess it’s just keeping it consistent with Guy’s suit also just being a suit

@syraphaelTW @tomwarren There is no first-party hardware being cancelled because it was never announced.
The partnership with Asus is not marketing, it is a commitment to the future of the ecosystem.

Microsoft's More Personal Computing business (Windows, Xbox, Surface, and more) declined by 3% year-over-year. Microsoft blames gaming for the overall revenue decline of More Personal Computing. Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud business, which includes Azure and server products, contributed $32.9 billion in revenue this quarter, more than double the $14.3 billion from More Personal Computing

@tinrocha @tomwarren Their first party handheld was canceled and they did a partnership with some Xbox branding, that's not commitment it's marketing.
English

@syraphaelTW @tomwarren They literally released new hardware last year.

@Milovxyvy @screentime Both are good in their own ways, chill and let people enjoy their things
English

@Lenzolth @__Hesser__ @screentime That's mostly cause at some point (mostly the Video games) people started linking DB with the transformations and not the storyline which is why Daima has gotten mixed reception amongst Super fans
English

@__Hesser__ @screentime 100% same this is just ridiculous and bad. Why is there such a huge focus on the transformations? What about a great story arc like the Cell Saga in DBZ with time travel or the whole red ribbon saga in the original DB.
This new stuff is just so far off of what DB represents

@tomwarren …so you’re paying but still getting some ads? Don’t some of the newsletters already require a payment? Saying the news “will all remain free” seems somewhat inaccurate
English

The Verge now has a subscription. Our homepage and news will all remain free, but if you want to support our reporting (and Notepad!) we now have a Verge subscription where you can pay to get fewer ads, access to all of our work, and much more theverge.com/2024/12/3/2430…

Sony has created a PSVR 2 adapter for PC support. A filing suggests PSVR 2 owners are on track to get PC support sooner rather than later theverge.com/2024/5/29/2416…

@screentime Didn't he say that the HoTD improved upon some of his characters though?

George R.R. Martin calls out screenwriters and producers for changing stories from the books after enjoying 'SHOGUN':
"Everywhere you look, there are more screenwriters and producers eager to take great stories and 'make them their own.' It does not seem to matter whether the source material was written by Stan Lee, Charles Dickens, Ian Fleming, Roald Dahl, Ursula K. Le Guin, J.R.R. Tolkien, Mark Twain, Raymond Chandler, Jane Austen, or… well, anyone. No matter how major a writer it is, no matter how great the book, there always seems to be someone on hand who thinks he can do better, eager to take the story and 'improve' on it. 'The book is the book, the film is the film,' they will tell you, as if they were saying something profound. Then they make the story their own. They never make it better, though. Nine hundred ninety-nine times out of a thousand, they make it worse.”
