@Rebel_ Everything mentioned seems either addressable/fixable. Or is nitpicking when it has been done in the past and worked. If this was said to the devs when they were told it wasn't competitive, then why not tell the fans. That way they can also voice a push for changes.

@Rebel_ I can see reason for some of this. So the spawns need to be more punishing for players pushing too far from hill. Fair. Need to stop spawning too close or too far on 3 hills. Fair. 400 corner thing wasnt an issue in bo2 and neither was "awkward lanes" so idk why its an issue now

Update: An anonymous pro has weighed in on why Cliff Town doesn’t play well competitively: In regards to the map being GA’d: “Not like 1 team disagrees, it’s entirely unanimous. Not one team even thinks it’s okay.”

@okkk_yeah @Parasite Unlock tools for store items or for camos etc tied to challenges etc? Wasnt aware there was things out there that you could buy to avoid buying things from the store...

Ranked play should be a separate client that makes you have an invasive kernel level driver in order to play it. Something similar to Valorants Vanguard. If they are worried about it effecting normal casual players. They wouldn’t have to worry about it because it’s a separate client.

Pros sent clips showing Cliff Town isn’t competitive, got no response, and had zero input on the mapset. So they band together and GA a map they never wanted. We’ve criticized how unorganized they are as a collective, but now people are mad? Let me make sure I’m understanding this correctly.

@Rebel_ @Kingchris0508 I agree, reasoning and solutions matter. If you come to me & say im not coming to work today & its because of timmy, but you dont tell me what he did/how to fix it. Im not going to have a solution in place to fix the issue & keep business afloat so that you can have an income.

@syriical @Kingchris0508 This is also true, but I think we can all agree the pros, teams, and fans are what make this esport what it is. CWL, MLG, CDL, Octane World League, it doesn’t matter who runs it. The grassroots and core are what matter most.

@Rebel_ @Kingchris0508 Would be a different story if pros said "change these specific things and it would be more viable." They done that with snipers and AA. The devs listened. We now have snipers. But I havent seen anything like that said regarding cliff town.

But fans want map variety and we are just ok with pros saying. "nah, is bad."?

@Rebel_ Im all for them coming together. But did they actually give it a proper try and give any actual feedback as a collective on what is wrong with it and how it could be improved to make it competitive? Cdl/devs having to juggle pros wants and ranked players wants seems impossible.

@TheGhostOfHope Food for thought. A third option. They could have made it so that both happened. Time paused when you pick it up and you could drop the bomb still. However, if you drop the bomb, time doesn't resume until the opposing team picks it up and dies with it or scores it.

Pausing clock when holding the device was like the best thing they did for the mode… Made it so we didn’t have games where it became mathematically impossible to win and you could always come back.

@Owakening The difference in opinion on what's a good map is so vast. What is the checklist pros use to decide? Genuinely? For example, I see people whinge about exposure only for others to praise it as a balanced map. So what from a pro perspective is looked at that ticks all the boxes?

@DamianSprs @xpertfusion3 I was the core audience, been playing since call of duty 3. I like the omni and ability to wall jump. Its like a happy median between boots on the ground and jetpacks.

I respect how you didn’t cherry-pick clips that exaggerate the game to make it look bad. These clips actually make the game look very fun (which it is) But also, with reduced SBMM, most people are NOT moving like this in the average lobby. I’ve never been annoyed when someone does move like this though, it’s part of getting good at the game.

He is putting down the damage, nobody is in positions to get his trades. He quite literally doubled johnny in dmg and yet nobody is saying a word about him.

@Jeff_Hardy28 @Aromaa__ IP ban has been ineffective for a while. Dynamic ips and vpns make it pointless and if someone uses a dynamic IP theres a chance that the specific IP that they ban could land on another player who hasnt got anything to do with the situation. Shit fucking sucks

@Aromaa__ It’s time they hire a team whose sole purpose is to ban hackers. IP ban them. Show their face and name. Hell charge one of them they’re literally breaking code of conduct that everyone signs

I don't know what changed from S2-S3 but its as if Ricochet isn't even on or remotely doing a thing. 2 hours straight of being blatantly cheated on in T250. I load up a plat account and im being hacked on first game down here in the depths. Please, we all want this game to succeed but you're making it very hard to continue to back what you guys are attempting to do when it literally feels like nothing is happening. @Methodz I picked overload here. Despite the fact that I liked control. Why? There was nothing worse then getting one or two burgers for teammates that go like 2/10 every round. You'd be frying and getting ticks just to look up and see 3 lives remaining when you've only died 3-4 times.

Some dumb girl posts her private DMs with Nero for I have no idea what personal gain & he gets dropped for that?... From the screenshots I saw, you can call it weird whatever but he was being respectful. There are way worse guys who would've said worse & terrorized her in those messages. He asked a question (sure it would be weird if you're not into it), she could've just said no and blocked him. What do you gain from posting that publicly? Screaming sexual harassment like he's terrorizing every egirl in the community. Taking his job away from him and now creating a mental burden he'll probably carry for a long time (men's mental health is a thing too, especially in scenarios like this). Everyone is so quick to judge and make jokes about Nero but I know 90% or more of you do weirder things but you are just not in the public eye. Don't judge people for what they are into, just do your own thing.
