@rustytatra Seems to be a regional thing. In Europe, I never came to see this.
Of course, with crossplay ON. If you turn that off, well, it is expected that you see this. Too less people play with that feature off. So better have it always on.

@BattlefieldComm Now please also fix the Javelin Error 95 "unacceptable configuration" that people are encountering since today's Javelin update.

The team has identified the cause of the EULA (User Agreement) screen appearing more frequently than expected on consoles.
Today, we deployed a client hotfix (Update 1.2.2.2) to resolve the issue.
Thank you for your patience while we worked through this!
Battlefield Comms@BattlefieldComm
We're aware of the EULA (User Agreement) screen appearing too frequently in-game on consoles at the moment. We're investigating the underlying cause and will deploy a fix as soon as we have it. Apologies for the inconvenience caused by this.

@CAMIKAZE78 The audio now has a too much left-right separation amplitude wise. The balance was way better before. What it lacked was proper spatial frequency adjustment. They compensated that by amplitude and it now sounds like pure stereo, rather than virtual surround/HRTF
English

First impressions of #Battlefield6: Nightfall
- New map feels pretty fun if I am being honest, but need more time to really get a hang of the flow.
- Audio was certainly a step in the right direction on this one. Not perfect yet, but I was able to FAR MORE RELIABLY track enemies.
- Netcode was still chunky at times, definitely died around a few corners tonight.
- New attachments are genuinely meta defining, some in a good way, others not so much.
Some great steps in this update and left the session mostly smiling. More to come tomorrow.

@GhostGamingG I welcome this change and that statement comes from a player that abuses the TOW for a no-fly-zone experience every other game.

@SteelSeries Hey, just a little hint: If one does install your management software (SteelseriesGG), nobody asked for resetting the settings that were stored in the mouse. My DPI/CPI profiles just reset 🤬 This did not happen like 5 years ago though...

@GhostGamingG 💯 That is pretty mouch the average experience on every other match. And it could be fixable so easily: Make the helo spawn no matter what (crush the soldiers or make other vehicles blow up that block the spawn). Also, buff the AI AA a bit.
English

Just spent the evening trying to get to grips with the scout heli a bit, man what a miserable experience that was, my excitement turned to frustration in a heartbeat.
There are so many problems with the vehicle spawn system it's unreal. People actively block the spawn because if they can't have it, neither can you. Sometimes they will even BLOW UP their own teams vehicles before you reach it on game start just so you can't have it.
On Manhattan, the enemy heli can freely spawn kill you, so anyone with a 90 second timer can shut you down before you even leave the ground, and I've seen this work on other maps too, especially with the longer range 50. cal rounds.
It's like the BF4 Siege of Shanghai heli domination circle jerk all over again, I'd honestly prefer the 2 minute personal vehicle timer from Battlefield 2042 than this.

@TTrebb Also the game is super unstable for some hardware/ software configuration due to EAAnticheat causing random crash-to-desktop and even BSOD with no straight forward solution so far. Happens for me every other game on a daily basis.

@TelepresenceLen @303SnowWolf Except for you do not even require the terminal on so many distros anymore in current times to do that (even though it is way more efficient and reproducable). But yes, stick to your windows habits and click on the wrong download button of random websites to get apps. Or viruses
English

@303SnowWolf Every time someone says "Linux is hard", a Linux advocate replies and says "Linux is easy, all you have to do is type Sudo apt bippety boppity into the terminal"
Dude, for someone used to Windows or Mac, yeah, that's yucky. (cont)
English

We’re at the level of computer literacy where copy-pasting ‘sudo apt install chromium-browser’ is a bridge too far, as opposed to using an OS that asks you at least 5 times if you’re /really/ sure you don’t want to use Edge.
Haru 🇺🇸🇹🇼@HaruhiismOtaku
Windows just keeps getting worse I don't want to use Linux though
English

@rekt_lord @303SnowWolf On so many distros, a graphical store-like app is already pre-installed that lets users just type "browser" which searches that distros repos for a matching program. No terminal required. But once you are hooked, terminal usage feels natural and super efficient.
English

@303SnowWolf Linux users be like: Linux is easy, just type sudo apt install <app name>
What they fail to tell you is that you need to know the exact package name or that shit won't work. sudo apt install chrome won't work and you might end up installing shit you don't need
English

@Egroeg_Yornom @elormkdaniel The SI prefixes for k, M, etc existed before some nerd in the 70s randomly decided "yeah, 2^10 = 1024 is close enough to 1000, let's call it kilo". Blame Mircrosoft to call it KB not not KiB (which is what is is)
English

@elormkdaniel It is still false advertising regardless of the technical explanation.

When manufacturers sell a 2TB SSD, they calculate storage using the decimal system. To them, 1TB equals 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. So 2TB means 2 trillion bytes.
But your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) doesn’t count storage that way. It uses the binary system, where 1TB (technically 1 TiB) equals 1,099,511,627,776 bytes.
So when your OS converts those same 2 trillion bytes into binary units, it shows:
2,000,000,000,000 ÷ 1,099,511,627,776 ≈ 1.8 TB
It’s just two different measurement standards fighting each other.
On top of that, a tiny bit of space is also used for file systems, formatting, and system metadata, which makes the number look slightly smaller again.

@CoysPeter @ProtonVPN It is not about DNS: When you connect to a server via TLS, the server needs to know with which certificate to encrypt the connection. These certificates are bound to domain names so the browser, despite using TLS in the end, sends the domain name in plain text via SNI
English

@systemofapwne @ProtonVPN DNS-over-HTTPS should be ok ?
English

@CoysPeter @ProtonVPN Yes: HTTP over TLS still leaks domain names via SNI.
English

@ProtonVPN Can they see it if you use an encrypted DNS ?
