Les États-Unis impériaux d’Amérique sont entrain de construire en Virginie le premier data center au monde à utiliser grosso modo plus d’un milliard de watts pour donner une idée un milliard de watts ça peut allumer dix millions d’ampoules en même temps je pense que c’est le nombre d’ampoules à Marseille et c’est pour entraîner leurs modèles d’IA ça coûte 25 milliards la glorieuse Chine en aura quelques uns comme ça d’ici 2030 notre belle France avait Polytechnique et Centrale le barrage de Grand’Maison quelques décennies d’avance sur le nucléaire oui ici nous sommes la nation de Pierre et Marie Curie mais le pays est dirigé par des petits intrigants de merde depuis un demi-siècle des jean-foutre qui sont forts en plateau télé et ont des bonnes notes à Sciences Po Patrick Cohen Léa Salame Emmanuel Macron Alain Minc Jacques Attali BHL etc etc

I’m enjoying the new #Sorare season and looking forward to following my line ups etc. But I’m going to be honest. I really really miss #Rivals. What I miss is this. Being able to sit down without any planning in front of a random game when I get a random moment. Like Liverpool Bournemouth last night. And have the game enhanced and feeling a part of it because I’m playing a Live Rivals game… Arena doesn’t quite cut it as I rarely have enough cards to set up a stack for a single game and it’s rarely going to be an optimum strategy. Rivals was so clever. You got a very very slight advantage from being able to use “Your” guys. But with the cap and use of commons you could play almost any game or series of games anywhere in the world whether you had cards or not. So if its a random Friday Night Championship game. Or a free Saturday afternoon with a bunch of games to follow. Or Mrs Riversorare has gone to bed and an MLS game is on. Or I’m on holiday and they are showing some random Europa league game. I could just pick a 5 man team 5 minutes before kick off. Probably have some random shit card of mine that I could use. Maybe buy a 30p addition on Secondary. And play. And then be really invested in the game. And following Substitution opportunities like a Hawk. And that was with just one tactic and one sub! The game was not developed at all. And every week these games mattered. Every week I found myself in promotion or relegation dogfight making decisions as to what to play and when. Sorare had a unique opportunity here with their global coverage and tech stack. They could have built a genuinely engaging new entertainment and gaming product on the back of their incredible collecting/trading ecosystem. But it feels like they’ve decided to double down on a expensive traditional fantasy game and poor odds gambling. Its still pretty unique amazing and good fun. But as it stands the cost/return dynamics means it will struggle to compete and they are left hoping that digital collectibles become a thing. And the world will have to wait a little longer for “live action” Fantasy Sports. When it happens Sorare will probably regret missing out on the chance to lead it. So, so close to greatness…

J'ai eu 30 ans ce 18 juin. Mon bilan de la décennie écoulée est assez clair : - J'ai pu développer @MajorPrepa comme leader sur son segment. Cette réussite définit pour beaucoup mes réalisations. MAIS - J'ai manqué des opportunités bien plus importantes en raison de la pensée selon laquelle je devais trouver un impact sociétal positif dans la moindre de mes actions. Je voulais réussir, oui. Mais réussir uniquement en faisant le "bien". Exemple : j'ai découvert le #Bitcoin quand j'étais ado car j'avais des business #Internet où cela était ce qu'il y avait de plus pratique. Cette mécanique financière me fascinait (c'est toujours le cas). Puis une fois en école, je l'ai délaissé. Pourquoi ? Parce que ça "n'avait pas assez de sens". Cette convictions morales ont rétréci mon terrain de jeu dans le monde du #business et m'ont amené à prendre des décisions absurdes. Pour avoir les moyens de faire le bien, il faut aussi sortir du terrain du bien. Ce temps de la vingtaine naïve est révolu. 🛠️

And as if that wasn't enough, they ALSO added another entry point to "Create" from within "My Library." Your users aren't stupid @Spotify . If your features aren't being used, discoverability isn't the problem here.

The absurdity? This "Create" function has virtually zero impact on their core KPIs: Customer acquisition, Listening time, Revenue. Misplaced priorities or internal panic? 🧐

Nav Bar changes are a perfect window into a company’s internal chaos. @Spotify just dropped today the worst update of the year. They replaced the « Your Library » button spot (I use 50x a day) with « Create » (a behaviour I perform once a week) 👇
