Yesterday, Ms Monica Geingos attended the Omagongo Festival Gala Dinner at the Khomas Regional Council in Windhoek. This dinner is a fundraising effort for the Omagongo Festival on 23 May 2026, at the homestead of Chief Herman Ndilimani Iipumbu at Onamega, Omusati Region.

Police in the Oshana Region are asking members of the public to assist in identifying the remains of a man who died in the early hours of this morning after being hit by a vehicle at Omaalala village. Preliminary police investigations revealed that the driver of a silver Polo, travelling from Ongwediva to Ondangwa, struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the road. The pedestrian was rushed to Oshakati State Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. All five occupants of the Polo, including the driver, escaped without injuries. I visited Robert Mugabe Clinic today and spent about 2hrs to go through the whole process. I declined any special consideration and therefore sat in the queue with other patients. I paid N$4 only and the rest is covered by PSEMAs. The team that saw me were courteous and professional. I got the medication at the pharmacy onsite and one medication was out of stock, it is being ordered today. Her Excellency the President has directed and we are following 🙏

JUST IN: In a firm directive to Cabinet members this afternoon, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has issued a stern warning against the return of unspent public funds to the Treasury while development projects across the country remain incomplete. Delivering the president’s statement in the National Assembly, Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare conveyed the head of state’s unequivocal message: “It is our resolve that no money should be returned to Treasury while projects and programmes remain incomplete.” The president's directive underscores government’s growing frustration with the sluggish implementation of projects, particularly in underdeveloped and rural parts of Namibia.
