🗣️ Paradigm Initiative at UNESCO’s World Press Freedom Day 2025 Sessions On May 5-6, 2025, Paradigm Initiative’s Chief Operating Officer, Nnenna Paul-Ugochukwu, joined global thought leaders at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) #WorldPressFreedomDay event at Square Brussels Convention Centre - Coudenberg Entrance. She participated in a key panel titled “Protecting Critical Voices - Human Rights Impact Assessment Guidance on Digital Platforms.” The panel explored how digital platforms affect freedom of expression and what safeguards are needed to ensure the protection of critical voices in our increasingly digital world. Nnenna contributed valuable insights from Paradigm Initiative’s work across Africa, stressing the need for accountability, transparency, and rights-based governance of tech platforms. In addition to her panel engagement, she also attended the Media Monitoring Africa (MMA) and UNESCO Consultation on Resolution 630.
