🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on the situation surrounding Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s foul on Cucurella in the FA CUP semi final “It wasn’t a red card today on Cucurella and it wasn’t a red card when Martínez did it to Calvert-Lewin either. Neither of them. But that’s not the point. The point is you’ve got to be consistent. You can’t send one lad off for barely touching hair and then two weeks later watch another one yank a ponytail like he’s trying to rip his head off and say ‘play on’. That’s the problem with this league now — it’s gone soft. Refs don’t know what they’re doing, VAR’s a shambles, and nobody wants to make a proper decision. One week it’s violent conduct, next week it’s nothing. Make your mind up! The standards have dropped, it’s embarrassing, and the game is getting weaker because of it.”

Everton - and perhaps Tottenham - may wonder why a penalty wasn't given against West Ham United's Mateus Fernandes, who appeared to swipe the ball away from Thierno Barry with his hand. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall equalised for Everton a few moments later — Callum Wilson popped up with the winner for West Ham.

Poland got 17 points in their group before the playoffs then go out to a side who finished bottom of their group with 0 wins. Sweden only got into the playoffs because of performances in the Nations League 2 years ago. What a shambles In addition, Sweden qualified to playoffs after playing in NL against Slovakia, Estonia and Azerbaijan. To compare, Poland played against Portugal Croatia and Scotland, 3 nations which qualified to WC by taking 1st place in elimination group. This system is totally unfair. The Game is gone.

Comment ‘STRIKER’ and I’ll send you three drills to improve your compression. If you want to guarantee solid contact, it’s critical you get your divot after the ball. A huge % of amateurs fail to strike the ball with enough of a descending blow. Here’s how we fix that: 🎯

Honestly we don’t give enough credit to the opposition when our team’s struggling Everton were probably the best team (outside of United?) to come to the Emirates this season. Bayern 1st half, Liverpool 2nd half too, but generally for 90 minutes we didn’t have an answer and they looked dangerous throughout while stifling us Not surprised at today at all

I thought Everton was so good at the Emirates, so I'm really interested to see how they do against Chelsea

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.

Interesting that in the Everton points deduction verdict the Premier League said “A financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner is not a sufficient penalty” and that “the requirements of deterrence, vindication of compliant clubs, and the protection of the integrity of the sport demand a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction’. Presumably the Chelsea fine (which ultimately is just a deduction from what billion dollar Clearlake will pay to billionaire Abramovich from the £150m held back at the deal date) is then neither punishment, a deterrent or protecting the integrity of the sport? If I was an Everton or Forest fan would not be happy with this outcome.

Whenever Chelsea's murky activities make the headlines, and it’s often, I'm always reminded of Matthew Syed's brilliant evisceration of Roman Abramovich on Sky Sports... What Everton did is a million miles from this lot. They're corrupt to the marrow.

Everton overspent by £19.5m on a stadium and were docked 10 points. Chelsea made illegal payments to help sign players and got a fine. The Premier League is the most corrupt organisation you will ever come across. Total disgrace.
Sky Sports Premier League@SkySportsPL

BREAKING: Chelsea have been handed a suspended one-year ban from signing first-team players, a nine-month ban from registering academy players and given a £10million fine from the Premier League relating to breaches of financial rules during Roman Abramovich's time as owner.
