Midnight I received a call from this other dude, an Arsenal fan screaming his lungs out "we won, we won, we won". Almost tore my earpieces with his noise. That time the dude, is broke and that's when it struck to me, football is the only thing happening in his life. He is living vicariously through "his team". Why so many men treat their team’s win like it’s their own? Walk into any bar on a Champions League night and you’ll see it. Grown men screaming, jumping, cursing at the ref like they’re on the pitch. The team wins, and suddenly it’s “we did it”. The team loses, and it’s a bad Monday. That’s vicarious living, and soccer is the main drug for it. *1. Identity without effort* Building status in real life takes years: career, family, skills, money. Supporting a club gives you an instant identity. You’re a Man City fan, a Man Utd fan, an Arsenal fan. No tryouts needed. When they win, your identity wins too. *2. Controlled emotion in a boring world* Most of life is muted. Work, bills, routine. A 90-minute match is 90 minutes where you’re allowed to feel everything at max volume. The highs feel earned, even if you did nothing but watch. It’s a legal hit of purpose and tribal belonging. *3. Tribe > Individual* Humans are wired for tribe. Your club is your tribe. When they score, you get the same neurochemical hit as if _you_ scored. Dopamine doesn’t care that you were on the couch. It cares that “your group” succeeded. That’s why losses feel personal - it’s a group loss. *4. Low cost, high payoff* You can be a fan from anywhere. No gym, no talent, no risk of injury. You put in $0 and 2 hours a week, and you get bragging rights, community, and emotional highs for months. It’s the highest ROI hobby out there. *The catch* It becomes a problem when it replaces real wins. If your only “we did it” moment is your club lifting a trophy, you’re renting meaning. Real fulfillment comes from things you actually control: your health, your work, your relationships. But used right, it’s healthy. It’s ritual, community, and a break from the grind. The mistake is confusing “we won” with “I won”. Be a fan. Celebrate. Then go build something in your own life you can say that about. Learn OR perish!!!

BREAKING ‼️🚨 If you thought the Daily News audio was bad, listen to this one. Nelson Chamisa is heard confirming, while speaking to someone “in the system”, that he is there to block people from going into the streets. He even says that when his own friend, Advocate Thabani Mpofu, proposed that people should go into the streets, he dismissed and rubbished the idea. What makes this even more shocking is the derogatory manner in which he speaks about a man who stood with him throughout his political career. This is the same Thabani Mpofu who introduced Chamisa to his chambers so that he could become an advocate, represented him for free in the 2018 election case, and reportedly lost clients because of his association with Chamisa. Yet here is Chamisa, speaking to someone in the system, trashing the very man who stood by him and confirming in his own words that he is there to make sure people do not go into the streets. Listen to Chamisa in his own words.

AFRICAN MEN: THEIR OBSESSION WITH EUROPEAN FOOTBALL This post isn't to say people shouldn't watch sports, to be more specific football. But it's to condemn the unhealthy obsession many African men have with football To be more precise European football, it would be least embarrassing if they were obsessed with their own football leagues Fooball is great as entertainment, it should remain that. No man with a fulfilling life should have his mood ruined by other men losing at something they are paid for If you observe, the average African man invests more emotion into European football than he invests in his own country's state of affairs or continent's state They'll be more angry at a player for changing a club, getting injured, failing to score etc than they'll be at their local politicians who steal their taxes and loot their resources They'll know a player's stats and historiy more than they know their local politicians stats or history. They'll analyse patterns of football teams more than they analyse their own lives Do you honestly think a man who is in control of his life and doing well in life will have time to be affected his mood because of football or any other sport? You're a loser if you spend much of your time watching other men make money and even get affected by it, whilst you're not doing anything productive with your life Find purpose, stop masking a lack of direction with being a football fanatic

They claimed Netayanhu is dead, and you were proven wrong with a video from Netayanhu. They claimed Trump is hospitalised, and showed up hours later with strong announcements. They claimed oil prices would hit $200 because of US blockade, but oil prices have been falling freely since that blockade and it's currently at $89. They claimed Trump agreed to the insane 10-point demands from Iran, and it was now proven that such list was binned as soon as it dropped. While the US is fighting with their military and arsenal; Iran is fighting with AI videos and childish propaganda.

I don't even agree with Wicknell most of the time. His associations, his lifestyle, the circles he moves in, most of that sits very uncomfortably with me and I won't pretend otherwise. But that is a separate conversation entirely. The question is what did any of us do for Ronald this week? Not in principle. Not in our "thoughts and prayers". This week, while the soil is still fresh as some of you said. Criticising the method of someone who acted while we debate the ethics of acting is a very comfortable position to hold. It costs nothing and risks nothing. Ronald buried his entire family a few days ago. Whatever you think of who showed up with that car and that money, he woke up this morning with both. If the gesture offends you, the answer is to do better. Go. Be there. Outshine it. Otherwise the critique is just noise...

RUFU NDI MADZONGONYEDZE.😭💔💔🕊🕊🕊 At a time when the CHRISTIAN community in Zimbabwe and across the world was celebrating the EASTER HOLIDAYS, I learnt with DEEP SHOCK the HEARTBREAKING news of a road traffic accident in which SIX LIVES were lost in the most painful and UNIMAGINABLE way. Those precious and YOUNG lives lost were all from the MUJURU FAMILY. I was out of the Country when this TRAGEDY happened, and I am even more SADDENED that our dear brother RONALD MUJURU, lost his beloved WIFE and all FIVE of his CHILDREN in this gruesome accident. May their dear souls rest in ETERNAL PEACE. 🕊️ It is the most difficult and UNIMAGINABLE thing for any parent to bury a CHILD, but to bury FIVE CHILDREN and at the same time, bury your WIFE is the MOST HORRENDOUS thing that no human heart should ever be asked to endure. My brother Ronald, NO WORDS can ever console you, nor can they restore what has been taken, and no one can imagine waking up to such a CRUEL REALITY. The loss of an entire family dims the very PURPOSE of waking up each day and WORKING HARD for those we LOVE the most. I share this grief as a Zimbabwean and as your own HOMEBOY from Zabe in Chivhu, which is so close to our Wiltshire Commercial Farms in Gandami where I was born and raised. I wish to extend my deepest appreciation to our amazing FIRST LADY, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa, who demonstrated that she is indeed the MOTHER OF THE NATION by personally coming to console you and your family in your DARKEST HOUR. Such a gesture demonstrated the true spirit of UBUNTU that binds us together as Zimbabweans. I also acknowledge with respect our Homeboy and MP the Hon. Minister of Transport Felix Mhona , who also personally paid his CONDOLENCES and attended the funeral. In moments such as these, we are reminded that beyond any DIFFERENCES of opinion or persuasion, we are ONE PEOPLE. We mourn together, we COMFORT each other and we carry one another through SORROW as the Holy Bible commands us in Romans 12:15 and 2 Corinthians 1 3-4. While I fully respect the PRIVACY and DIGNITY that this deeply painful moment demands, I feel DUTY-BOUND, as your brother and as a patriotic Zimbabwean who understands LOSS, to extend my condolences. In that spirit, and WITHOUT any desire for RECOGNITION or attention, but purely as a TOKEN of LOVE in our African tradition yekupa CHEMA, I say to my dear brother Ronald, please GO AND SEE VICTOR at Exquisite Car Dealership and collect a brand spanking new 2026 Toyota Fortuner 2,8 GD6 valued at USD 80 000. You will also receive CHEMA of US$50,000 in cash as a humble gesture to support you as you PICK UP yourself from this DEVASTATING and PAINFULL loss. This is all from the bottom of my heart and by no means intended to gain any mileage at the expense of your GRIEF, but a small token to lessen the EMOTIONAL PAIN and unimaginable AGONY you are carrying. My brother RONALD, I am DEEPLY SORRY for your loss, and though nothing can ever heal this wound, I pray that the HOLY SPIRIT becomes your COMFORTER during this difficult time. May the souls of your beloved wife and children rest in ETERNAL PEACE until we are reunited again in the land of EVERLASTING LIFE… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🕊️🕊🕊
