Kalk Bay Station, 2pm on Monday afternoon. Busy busy busy. People are using the trains! Majority of people are not using it for commuting to work here, mostly visiting shops, restaurants, beaches, and tidal pools!

@MbekezeliMB My understanding is that during peak period (ie morning and afternoon in the week) all the trunk buses are used for scheduled services and they only have spare smaller feeder buses so they have to use those. When it’s weekend events they use both.

Yeap. We need to have last night’s experience as the standard at stadiums. MyCiti needs to bring their larger trunk busses for stadium events. It’s not possible to transport that many people using those small buses.

While Gauteng is set to expand the Gautrain to another airport, Cape Town's only public transport connection to its only major airport is shuttered. *CT runs public transport better than many, but it is not immune to failures and political apathy towards public transport.

Great to see @MyCiTiBus making use of the strike through cancelled services feature on Google maps for routes not operating during the cycle tour

@chillpep The Atlantic Seaboard and CBD are well served by the MyCiTi bus service. We encourage residents and visitors to use this service to get to their destinations, to walk where possible, consider working remotely, or, travel outside of the peak periods.

🚌 Route 109 is now operating extra trips in morning and afternoon peaks on weekdays. Additional trips from the Imizamo Yethu stop through to Adderley station. Additional trips between Adderley station and Queens Beach station. #MyCiTiAlert

Bus validators sayings “In Transit” while at a bus stop meaning we can’t tap out, and all incur a R70 ticket penalty, plus my fare!! There are many reports of this. @MyCiTiBus change the setting to tap out always, like it used to be!! What if there is a deviation?? Pls feedback!
