@_meera__abdul Female friends are the worst. A married woman cannot transition into a single mother with a newborn. A supportive friend would encourage her to set aside her ego for the sake of her baby. It's not like she can undo the DNA. I HOPE said friend reads this and takes her time.

There is a specific kind of pain in seeing a woman carry a pregnancy her husband didn’t want, and I’ve been watching my friend go through this for nine months while her husband acted like she was carrying a stranger's child just because he had already decided that "two kids are enough." He didn't follow her for a single scan, didn't buy a single diaper, and would look at her growing belly with so much resentment that she spent most of her pregnancy crying in the guest room feeling like she was committing a crime just for being a mother. The real irony started the moment the baby arrived and turned out to be his carbon copy, looking exactly like him in every single way, and suddenly he has switched to "Super Dad" mode, posting the baby on his status every five minutes with "My Prince" captions and trying to buy my friend expensive jewelry to "make up" for the months of coldness. My friend says the love she had for him died during those nine months of silence and she’s currently secretly scouting for an apartment to move out because she can’t unsee the man who made her feel like a burden when she was at her most vulnerable. He thinks everything is back to normal now because he’s finally "happy" with the baby's face, but she’s just waiting for the right moment to leave him with the "Prince" he almost forced her to resent, and honestly, I don't think she's overreacting because some wounds are too deep for a "sorry" and a push-gift to fix.

I am supporting my friend who wants to leave her husband. We are going house hunting today with her.

You want to know the secret to living in heaven on Earth? To creating heaven on Earth for yourself? It’s this Never judge Not yourself Not others Not even the ones who got it all wrong Don’t make assumptions You don’t know what someone’s carrying You don’t know the full story and you don’t need to Forgive Everything Even the things that broke you Especially those Don’t take it personal Most of what people do… isn’t about you And here’s the big one Choose love Unconditional. Unshaken For everyone Even when it’s hard Be impeccable with your word Speak light Spread love Not poison And always always Do your best That’s it That’s the code Judge less Love more Forgive often And watch what happens Heaven isn’t a place you go It’s a state you embody

Pray about it. Your mood swings, your temper, your ego, your insecurities, your mindset, your self-love, your emotional state, your environment, your relationships, your lack of motivation, your lack of execution, your attraction to bad people. Pray about it all.

Slim
Slim@onu_slim·
At 50, life quietly hands you the bill for all the choices you made when no one was watching. Your body is no longer forgiving, so health stops being motivational talk and becomes a daily responsibility. What you eat, how you sleep, whether you move or not now shows up in your blood pressure, joints, and energy levels. This is the age where prevention is cheaper than treatment, and discipline matters more than motivation. At 50, money is no longer about ambition but about stability and dignity. Risky moves that made sense at 30 can now destroy decades of effort. You should know exactly what you own, what you owe, and what will still pay you if you stop working tomorrow. This is the decade where assets must be doing the heavy lifting, not your body. If your income still depends only on showing up physically every day, you are under pressure. At 50, relationships become brutally honest. You no longer have time for performative friendships, noisy associations, or emotional stress disguised as loyalty. The people around you either bring peace, growth, or value, or they slowly drain what is left. This is the age where boundaries are not arrogance, they are survival. At 50, legacy replaces ego. You begin to think less about being admired and more about being useful. Who have you trained. Who can stand because you lifted them. What systems, values, or structures will remain when you slow down. This is when wisdom matters more than opinions, and silence often speaks louder than arguments. At 50, life is not ending, but it is no longer rehearsing. Every year counts more. Every decision is heavier. And every delay costs more than it used to. If you are intentional, this decade can be calm, respected, and deeply fulfilling. If you are careless, it can be exhausting and regret-filled. The difference is no longer knowledge. It is action.
