Consider a visit to Bagheera while you're on town. A fun spot. And tomorrow it's 18⁰! How to get in: Enter the betting shop storefront at 518 Main St and tell the "bookie" you want to place a wager on "King Louie" to gain entry. Experience: The interior resembles an opulent antique train car with over 1,000 coins and bangles sourced from Indian bazaars. The menu at Bagheera features cocktails infused with South Asian spices like saffron and smoked paprika.

@CTVCalgary Arguably, we are the most "on track" in all of Canada, but that narrative never seems to hit the MSM.

@DonMartinCTV I’m thinking it’s more like Carney has got some dirt on these people that they don’t want exposed to the public. It’s making no sense. Bribes, corrupt to the core.

This is getting ridiculous. I get it that Poilievre is not Mr. Congeniality but these MPs ran under his banner just last spring. They knew who and what they were running for. Clearly this is just personal opportunism.

Conservative MP crosses the floor to Liberals Statement from MP Marilyn Gladu Today, the Liberal Party issued the following statement from Marilyn Gladu, Member of Parliament for Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong: “Dear citizens of Sarnia—Lambton—Bkejwanong, "The past year has been like no other that Canada has ever faced, and I’ve heard clearly from constituents that you want serious leadership and a real plan to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy.  "That is why I have decided to join Prime Minister Mark Carney and Canada’s new government as the newest member of his caucus.  It is a privilege to have served as your Member of Parliament for more than a decade, and I have made a choice to do the best thing for our community’s priorities, and importantly, for our country. "The experience I gained working globally across many sectors will be important to help our Prime Minister continue to deliver on the big priorities he is driving forward: To build the nation at speeds not seen before, create jobs for a prosperous future, build our defence, diversify our trade, build more homes, help lower costs for Canadians, and combat crime. I believe that these are the priorities many of you share, and I’m ready to work with Prime Minister Carney to build a stronger, more independent, and more competitive Canadian economy. "I know that you also want to see more direct support from your federal government at this crucial moment for our local and national economy, and I will be working relentlessly to advocate for the projects, priorities, and prosperity that our communities are counting on. "Sarnia—Lambton was always a bellwether riding, meaning that whoever our community elected as MP was typically in government. That was true for 52 years before the citizens here elected me four times, throughout which I have served in Opposition and done my best to advocate strongly for you. Today, there is both the opportunity – and the responsibility – to build our country’s strength and success with a more constructive, collaborative approach. "That is the approach I will advance as the newest member of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s team in government, as we work together to build a brighter future for all in a stronger Canada." » – 30 –

@acoyne @reliefinplace Is it any wonder people have lost trust in politicians? Most serve themselves before their constituents.

Presumably the Prime Minister (with his much-touted intellect) knows and understands that his actions are undermining Canada’s multi-party democratic system, and slowly destroying voter confidence in elections. One can only conclude, therefore, that he simply doesn’t care.☹️
J.J. McCullough@JJ_McCullough

I really don’t understand how Canadians are supposed to make an informed vote if party-switching is standard practice. Are we supposed to vote for MPs who promise really hard to never switch parties? Running for a party is supposed to BE the proof of their loyalty to that party!

Reflects poorly on both. Gladu for obvious reasons. But if ever one needed proof that Liberal principles are first and foremost about the acquisition of power and not a coherent set of values and perspectives, it's accepting an unapologetic conservative like Gladu into caucus
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

At this important moment for our country’s future, Canadians with a broad range of experience and perspectives are uniting to build Canada strong. I am honoured to welcome Marilyn Gladu today as the newest member of this government and our Liberal caucus. In a time of global economic uncertainty, Canada’s success will depend on how we build ambition into progress and strengths into sustained advantage. Marilyn brings the practical, results-driven leadership this effort demands. Having spent decades of her career in engineering and international business, she understands what it takes to create good jobs, strengthen supply chains, and ensure Canadian industry can compete in a rapidly changing global economy. She has been elected by the people of Sarnia—Lambton–Bkejwanong in four straight elections since 2015, and repeatedly earned recognition from colleagues across Parliament for her proven willingness to work constructively across party lines. I’m looking forward to working closely with Marilyn to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy, meeting the challenges of a changing world with lasting opportunities for all.

@mferreriptbokaw It’s too late. His wife begins working do Alto in August 2025. In the early winter in 2025 he voted in the House for the estimates to send his wife’s company $507 million this year alone. He has already broken the conflict of interest and ethics rules.
