Gimme a break, he’s trying to gaslight and spin the comments that came out of his own mouth. If he said “I don’t like playing there and don’t like the Hyatt” the backlash would’ve been minimal. Notice how he didn’t address the “move the team” comments, which was the actual BS.

The anti-black rhetoric these NBA players have shown toward the city of Memphis have been wild to watch. A lot of them don’t understand the history here or the richness that comes from this city. Unfortunately, much of that legacy gets overlooked, and now Memphis carries a stigma because of… we know what. Hearing someone like LeBron, a global figure who came from humble beginnings similar to many kids in this city say those words is really disappointing. I honestly think the team may end up relocating soon. I’m trying to mentally prepare myself for that.
