I watched @greybtc 's video that I commented on. To clarify my comment because it has happened this way to me three times with Playstation, in 2015 I purchased an ultimate edition of Tom Clancy Division i changed my username and had no access to the DLC or purchased items but i had the game. So I went back to the username from before so that I could use what I paid for. Even though the name i came up with was better I just couldn't use it and play the game with the amount of progress I had under the original username/gamer tag. And that is one of the scenarios that is bound to gamer tag/username with all digital.

@greybtc The only problem that could come from digital only is, if for any reason a player chooses to change their gamer tag then they will have to buy a new copy of the game they just paid for.
